@greener483 An E46 330d (200hp version) will take a 106 GTi. They are quick off the line but after 70mph they have nothing, where the BMW will literally smoke the 106/Saxo. Handling, yes, the 106/Saxo will be very good due to weight.
Just sold my bmw 520 and got a saxo vts. Its not very well built, but so much fun and it makes me smile when i beat 2 liters ect of the lights. My first mod is NOS :)

Not a Chav, I like the vts it's really fast, grips the road and best of all I can insure it, plus you would have to have a m3 or 330i to beat a vts or Clio off the line, a 2 litre BMW will not beat a vts, even like a 04 BMW, i paid 1300 pound for a black vts with 59k on it, and it will go faster than a BMW. And still people still have a problem with small loud cars lol.
If you compare the 2 litre 318i (I am assuming) of course the VTS will win purely on a power to weight ratio, so its hardly a real comparison. The reality is that most BMW's are better all round vehicles. Sporty, unassuming quality which lasts, something that 'small loud cars' simply cannot provide. Besides £140 spent on our standard 118d on a new ecu would toast a VTS. However, such a hollow victory would not give me a boner, unlike the owners of 'small loud' cars.

@special917 Older bmw's are lighter than there newer equivalents and my E36 325 is faster than a vts. It's handling isn't as good but on carriage ways my car is faster than a vts at least. I have a few video's you can look at to see?

Actually, I am entitled to my opinion just as you are. I am merely commenting on my experience with such drivers (modders) who in the main (at least in my area) drive like idiots and cause havoc on Saturday nights on our roads. I am guessing that I have hit a raw nerve and that you fall into the categories that I have mentioned.

A couple of tips. First, why have a loud car & why the need to draw attention to yourself? An induction kit can add hp and as the car is injected you can use em and yes you put an induction kit to replace air filter not on the TB you idiot..... a chip can add hp a bit pricy but possibly worth it depending on what your chipping... A remap would be good then again you would need to add shit for a remap as it would be pointless remapping a stock car.... Either way you can pick up decent skylines for 5K then again little pricks can't afford group 20 ins

Power/weight ratio is not that differant. Obviously the clio still has a better power/weight ratio but any tuned saxo vts/ 106 gti go like hell! Ive had a 106gti (145-150bhp) and felt a fair bit faster than my clio 172. Clio is now at 190bhp and seems quicker than the 106 i had but still very close

@special917 Older bmw's are lighter than there newer equivalents and my E36 325 is faster than a vts. It's handling isn't as good but on carriage ways my car is faster than a vts at least. I have a few video's you can look at to see?

These cars are generally driven by knob ends who think that terrorising people in supermarket car parks with stupid exhausts and subwoofers is 'really cool'. That is when these people are not flipping burgers at McD's, collecting trolleys at ASDA or mixing cement. Generally, these cars shout that you are a dullard chav. Nothing says "Im a complete wank stain" quite like driving a fucked up saxo or a clio that looks like the love child of Sonic the hedgehog meeting a clown car.

Actually, I am entitled to my opinion just as you are. I am merely commenting on my experience with such drivers (modders) who in the main (at least in my area) drive like idiots and cause havoc on Saturday nights on our roads. I am guessing that I have hit a raw nerve and that you fall into the categories that I have mentioned.

A couple of tips. First, why have a loud car & why the need to draw attention to yourself? Use the loud car at the track and then people may not make the assumption....easy!... unfortunately, chavs generally feel the need to be the 'look at me' types without a brain and that is what a loud little car often says. However, I am glad you are not a chav. Another tip, commas (,) are not full stops (.) and should not be used as such. Learn how to use them and your comments will make more sense.

WTF 13K grand??PMSL! Good condition VTS £2K Decat exhaust £125, 4 branch manifold £200 Ph3 or 4 newman cams £300, remapped ecu £250, Jenvey throttlebodies £900 and you got yourself a 170-190bhp car. Cituning phase 3 Turbo charger £3-4K and that's good for 300bhp. And STILL less than a £8k skyline, with just as much power to weight ratio. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Ok if were gonna go into this.. An induction kit can add hp and as the car is injected you can use em and yes you put an induction kit to replace air filter not on the TB you idiot..... a chip can add hp a bit pricy but possibly worth it depending on what your chipping... A remap would be good then again you would need to add shit for a remap as it would be pointless remapping a stock car.... Either way you can pick up decent skylines for 5K then again little pricks can't afford group 20 ins

Power/weight ratio is not that differant. Obviously the clio still has a better power/weight ratio but any tuned saxo vts/ 106 gti go like hell! Ive had a 106gti (145-150bhp) and felt a fair bit faster than my clio 172. Clio is now at 190bhp and seems quicker than the 106 i had but still very close
