Russia, North Korea, South Korea, India and Vietnam have larger total armies.
I think chinas total army size is about 4-5 million. I think russias is the leader with close to 20 million. I think North and South Korea have the double army size than china.
Keep in mind army sizes are estimated and not 100% accurate. Total army includes reserves etc. Keep in mind US and Russias armies have war experience that china lacks.

Geology survey has found many mines of rare earth right in US border but the cost to open/reopen those mine are just greater comparing to trading with China. But if China try to close down their production. US economy can still recover on it own.

@PicRiza1 Your joking, they would cream usa. Why? they can build more wepons fast, just live USA did in WWII. They already have more navy ships too. they are the super power 200,000,000 troops. chiness subs have been sneaking up on UN war games and poping up in the middle of them, so they could just pop up right next to usa when ever they want. Usa military is still very strong and the world would probably end if they fought. the east is rising!

@PicRiza1 China is a rising super power, they can poison your waterways, hack your security, collapse your economy, nuke, and as the video demonstrates, a well disciplined army that marches much more in sync than the usa. I'm not biased, I personally dislike China as a Taiwanese person

People tell me China and Russia's militaries suck, are completely outdated, and only have enoughindividual equipment to equip a few thousand troops in a time of need or war. After looking up facts about Russia, and seeing this, I know they have no idea what the Hell they're talking about.

@unbornproghost In terms of land forces, Chinese could probably give U.S. a fair fight. But in the air U.S. has dominance (PRC has nothing to stand up to F-22, not to mention the sheer plane counts). And at sea they don't have any aircraft carriers, so they cannot project power as far as U.S. can today (but they have already purchased one semi-completed from Russia over a decade ago and have been using it to develop their own, so that will change soon).
So, no, not stronger. Yet.

@Spritztechnik It depends on where the fighting would take place. If it would be on or close to Chinese soil, I think they could fend U.S. back. Everywhere else, they'd lose long term (to stretched supply lines & air superiority). But everywhere else is highly unlikely, as Chinese (unlike, say, U.S.) prefer to stick to territory they claim as their own.
Anyway, as a Russian, I wouldn't really have a side to cheer for in such a fight :)

@unbornproghost Well america is technologically advanced in some ways, we have more proficient weaponry (tanks missiles ect.) they might have more man power but no way to move them we have a significantly larger navy / air force which is required to move an army of that size, America is also an imperialist country. and we set up military bases all over the world which allows us to have soldiers anywhere in the world in under an hour, all in all america is the dominant power and always will be =]
