I have owned the 2010 forte sx now for about 5 months....I love the car except for one thing (and would love to know how to change it) I now call it My California car...because when it comes to rain or snow it handles terrible!! I live in Saskatchewan Canada...where the weather changes as fast as You walk across Your house from the back door to the front door............BUT...to all that are looking to buy one, HIGHLY recomended!! Super fun, easy to drive (and makes You feel young again lol)

@kronosdb The 2010 model that a reviewed does not, however, the 2011 does come with both options along with paddle shifting if you get it in Automatic. One other great feature is the "Smart Key" technology that is also set up to a Push Start button inside. The price is higher for what is called the SX Luxury but compared to other manufactures and their prices, the Koup still comes in under them perfectly!

Adam did a good job on the review very well presented. Too bad the SX is nothing compared to an SI which i test drove after the SX at Newmarket so I bought the civic instead.

Kia is a great price and package if your looking for a basic car. Thats about as far as they go. The options are nice and all but for someone who wants something more fun to drive I'd recommend the civic SI over the SX Koupe any day.

Nice car but not sure about the engine durability and transmission longevity

I notice manuf. now focus on looks and cheap out on the old school focus of hardware quality (engine, suspension, transmission & chassy) to make up the difference

I believe its because retention of cars are now shorter and less consumer appreciation of actual quality contributing to longevity (due to cars being more a fashion statement)

I would watch out for 2nd hands of these & long term ownerships in near future

I test drove the Koup EX model with 156 hp and rented the 4 door sedan also 156 hp model (both automatic) for a week in Florida. Exterior styling is excellent for the koup and very good for the sedan. The interior fit and finish is comparable to Honda and Toyota if not better. The automatic transmission itself is fairly good but I really like the Steptronic feature of the transmission. I used the Steptronic a lot in florida and I found there was A LOT more power while accelerating.
