A true Gnostic of the inner school will never attempt to prostheletyze, (there is no point) and it is absolutely impossible for a Gnostic to be an atheist. Anyone who claims to be a Gnostic who receives money or services for teachings, or who claims to be an atheist is a deceiver and a fraud. Period.

I don't think matter is evil I think it is a tool that can be used for evil and can stray us away from our trueness and I think that is what most Gnostics are tying to say even traditional christians as well. Because they still preach not being of the world..you know be in it but not of it.

I think a gnostics belief can be quite individual to the gnostic, which is what I kep tying to say to people, people try and make out "gnostics belive in x and y " when really it's not that simple.

Good point. I would think x and y should be limited to the material world. Its mind boggling I'll tell you that. but I'm a rookie...so your vid is not rubbish..you just have a thick accent and some of us from different parts of the world have to listen carefully to what you are saying but its not rubbish.

@greenelf12 Yes, that's generally right. Gnosticism derives from the greek "gnosis" which means knowledge, and so depending on what kind of hidden knowledge one thinks one has found there can be all manner of sects of gnosticism. Sometimes it isn't even best to think of it as a sect. On occasion you can have gnostic views that overlap in a non-contradictory way with an already established orthodox religion.

i dont know you might have brought a good point, but you lack. "showing" skills i suppose i could call it. It get's very boring from the get go.You should try writing down hat you're going to say to lessen any stutter,and try to come up with something to make the vidoe more entertaining. It doesnt matter how good the point is unless you can get people interested enough to actually hear.I'll admit to have stopped watching even before halfway trough,since the beginning looked very uninteresting.

Yeah I know that, it's my first real attempt of doing somthing like that. Also I felt rushed, I'll probably do a text one latter to try and get my point across. and to be honest I tohught I did well to get myself to do it at all, it's not in my comfort zone so to speak, I don't have the vibrancy or the "up there own arseness" that a lot of youtubers seem to have. Not all but a lot of peoples way of being entertaining is being a condersending prick, and that isn't really me

well i didn't mean you have to be an asshole to be entertaining :P And i kindof guessed this was some of you're first attempts, and i'm really just trying to give kind of contructive criticism to help make you're later videos more wathcable and /or interesting. Maybe the most imprtant thing you should do is write a script, see how you could do it in the least amount of time, try talking a bit faster, and add in a few jokes here and there to add to the entertainement.

this way you can go trough the points fast enough to even make us with slight ADD stay interested, but still make the point so everyone understands it (ofcourse it might take some time to come up with the perfet middle-ground, but anyway, that's the basic idea), and the jokes make it more entertaining, since only a few people want only education. A few jokes spicen up it a bit, just so you don't make the whole video just jokes ofcourse :p

but what I was trying to convey is this:

1. his main attack of lacy was from the stance that she wasn't knowlagable, but the points he made wern't spot on for  pwnage . you shouldn't be able to coe back at a pwnage video else it isn't pwnage.

he said that all gnostics belive that matter is evil - not true.

he said that he is not sure that there is still gnostics about there is loads of them around.

finally his aserstion that there can't be a gnistic athist is actually technicly posible.

I don't know much about gnosticism. Can it basically be summed up as a broader form of theism?

Hmmm, you could do but Id personally say it's more of a philosophy it seems to have a few things in common with Buddhism. Especially if you look at the point of view of the world being an illusion and you have to enlighten yourself to escape from it.

If Gnosticism is theist it's the half brother that no one likes. :)

All Gnostics are individual in their perspectives, but their Gnostic experience is linked. The best way to see the movement is it is one that is timeless and worldwide, but which occurs to one person at a time. Each one will apprehend it differently. There is no really point in studying to become a Gnostic, as we don't choose to have the experience, IT chooses to experience us and it cannot be compelled.
