Yea you might hit it far, but where that club was pointing at the top of of your swing, you probaly hit it right of your taget almost all the time, because you cannot get the club back to the normal impact position, having a big swing does not help you hit the ball farther and that is the problem with toung kids, small leg movement, with compact swing is the way to get it done.

lol I use that same grip hes using, It works especially if your a slicer , but its real easy to start hooking and loosing controll of your ball. If you can make that grip work and make all your balls go straight then dont change it, but the only problem i see is that your club isnt parallel to the ground if you can make that club parallel you will start hitting more powerfull shots. =)
