  • whoever says a tune is crap, well, it's an opinion and therefore wasted breath.

  • I agree totally with whoever said "Caber Feidh" is a crappy tune. It is a clinker. I hate it as a strathspey, and I hate it as a march. I think it works as a jig, though. I just do not like the melody. There are very few big, popular tunes for bagpipes that I do not like, and this is one of them. It's just, well -- how does one say it? -- not a nice melody.

  • Totally agree with blackie on this one, great tune, always impressive when à band approaches with this tune !

  • i challange anyone, to stand seeingg that band coming towards them, playing that piece, to call any part of it crappy. in real life, this will blow you away. video just doesnt do it justice

  • though i'm an uilleann piper, i've always admired and respected the 78th!!!!

  • No Canqpiper. I'm not from Quebec. I'm from Durham North East England originally. Would love to visit Quebec one day though :)

  • I dont know how anyone can say that the "MARCH" Caber Feidh is crap....expecially knowing the history behind that tune and considering every world class Pipe band plays it. Its a brilliant March, Strathspey and Reel!!!! Please give your goddamn head a shake!!!

  • 3 part, repeat, 3rd bar, wtf?

  • Did they make the drumming to this up as they went along. Rough or what!

  • or what!!! to say that that was rough proves only one thing: YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT PIPE BAND DRUMMING

  • haha u have vids of me on ur profile.

guess u know nothinh either, plus that flute band shite!

  • Well that is your opinion. What video are you in. and the flute band culture in northern ireland is in no way related to my knowledge of pipe bands. that is like saying if i film a jazz band, i know nothing about rock.

  • heard this and went straight onto itunes and searched for a similar arangement!! simply superb. you get impression that they are walking down there with silverware in mind!! im sure thier competitors were worried when they seen and heard that coming towards them.

  • Awsome!!

  • The punch from this tune is just amazing, and the bass really helps with the attack

  • You took the words right out of my mouth! I LOVED the bass in this tune

  • its so true though! haha, this is just one of those tunes that has a kick to it and the way they play it here is like" you cant touch us, we are the 78th Fraser Highlanders"!

  • drew looks alot taller in this video.

  • for one of the biggest g1 bands, you have to give them respect for being able to create a tight ensemble, with more musicians theirs more chances for mistakes, and this band defenitly shows the practice through their performance

  • Hughe Bass Drummer..I know he is the boss..

  • yeh that base drummers a beast =P

  • i just realized how tight their drum corps is. i love the pitch that their pipe's are at. gives it a "WAH" effect

  • i agree with Corenmuse24, These guys dont get enough credit for how damn good they are.

  • Thank you! And like you I love the pitch their chanters are at. I can't play mine shapr though due to the fact I'm an awfully irregular blower. One day though eh? *sigh*

  • BLUHH, Caber Feidh or however you spell it is a terrible tune. sounds nice though. musically its crap though.

  • why do you say that?, seriously because im thinking about using it the near future

  • I agree; "Caber Feidh" is musically crap. The jig version is okay, but the march (and the strathspey) is a crappy piece.

  • what the hell dude? you comment about how crappy you think the tune is musically???

how about how well the 78th frasers played it???

  • I love the 78ths- think they're often underestimated.

  • R U from Quebec?

  • i think your man below is from the deaf association

  • HA HA HA good one Blackie005!

  • caber feidh- the march, the strathspey, the reel, it's the most awesome tune, played by the one of the most awesome bands, cheers!

  • I agree.

  • Caber Feidh is the best song around...well, not exactly, but pretty close. 4th part is the best.

  • kool

  • i guess u play watever your comfortable with

  • why is that guys bass drum so high up??? :O

  • It puts the sound out more and it is a LOT easier on the shoulders and back so it's a lot more comfortable.. I think its more easier to play as well =P

  • Excellent camera work of a band marching.

    Well done.

  • i love caber feidh
