  • Thats not really acrobatics

  • Ushuaia is a great program with superb reports such as this one; unfortunately the US version (presentation) is not on par with Nicolas Hulot's and the original Ushuaia spirit the above would suggest...

  • @ZeeFrenchie I liked Ushuaia so much. Never seen such program. There was something different in that program.

  • made 7 trips to Chamonix. It is rather than asking about it look it up , or even better go see it you dont have to ski to go up there.

  • Nope, Aiguille du Midi is a ski station alright... Most ski down the opposite face, but the Couloir Poubelle drops down below it. Check out Greg Stump's classic "Blizzard of Ahhhs" to see Scot Schmidt, Glen Plake, and Mike Hattrup ski it.

  • Absolutely wonderful! That´s all I can say. Thanks for showing the video on YouTube!

  • Im lost 4 words, thank you for posting, ex Auckland gliding club member.

  • @atreewithnolife I used to live in Auckland... miss that place =)

  • LS6 - 15m

  • Very nice video congratulation dude :) But I have just only one question and that is: Name of this two gliders are ______?

  • greattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt. i 'm lovin it

  • SUPERBE

  • wow look a the building at 4:13 thats spectacualar

  • what building is that? that is the most amazing thing i have ever seen! it looks so unreal

  • I'm going to try and find that on FSX.

  • It's "L'aiguille du midi", in Chamonix, Haute-Savoie

  • Its a ski station, and what makes Chamonix the best lift serviced skiing in the world.

  • A ski station? To ski where, at you death? take a second look, its seems like the place is reachable only by helicopter.

  • would really like to hear from the actuall pilotes, since they we're sitting on an ls-6 @ 1:36 but I haven't seen an ls-6 that doesn't have optional wingtips (at 2:28 you can clearly see the tip doesn't have another opening for the additional part)

though at 7:35 you do see the callsign "CC" which could be the same plane of 1:36 (but you can only see one "C") tho during the looping you can see something that looks like the sticker from the plane showed before.

It could be an ls-6, but maybe not

  • Definitely ls6s. Only ls6-c18 and ls6-18W have winglets. Ls6, ls6-a, ls6-b have a straight wing.

  • It's a pure 15m racing class Ls-6. Its simple and elegant. Shear beauty! Performing too! Makes me wanna have one ;-)

P.S. "CC" on the film is the glider of Eric Napoleon, french World Champion in 15m class from Borlange'93. They used Ls-6b then as I remember. Ls-6 was hotest stuff in 15 m class then.

  • aerobatiks isn´t allowed with the Ls 6 !!

  • superbe vol

parti de challes jusqu a l aiguille du midi

  • How old is this? Thanks for posting.

  • which model of airplane is that?

  • Rolladen Schneider Ls 6

  • Absolutely Brilliant flying, stunning filming, terrible music, lol

  • that is awesome...

  • straordinario. Incredibile.
