  • Great video, Thanks.

  • ... or you could try riding the wave of the sensation viewers with the title 'huge sneakers scam unraveled!!!' ... a bit of humour doesn't hurt ;)

  • PS idea for the titel: 'Sneakers Out Of The Dark' - original song by ...

    just an idea :))

  • My RESPECT for standing up for an important cause in this way!!! I think your song is great and very powerful. My advice would be to post a separate video with only the music. Give some attention to the setting and atmosphere of the recording and let the message fly through the music. You may reach a bigger audience in that way. All the best, greetings from The Netherlands.

  • Great video!!

What's sad is the people who are aware of sweatshops justify it by saying "if they didn't work in sweatshops they would starve, therefor it's a good thing"

  • @oofay789 It might not be a good thing, but what would be your alternative?

  • @ShudderProductions

    cooperatives

  • @oofay789 When people don't own jack all? Nice try, would be like trying to organise a piss up when all you've got is donkeys piss

  • @ShudderProductions

I don't understand your analogy at all

You asked for an alternative, I gave you one

  • @oofay789 You can't have a cooperative if you don't have the means of production, which of course cost a lot in money. It's possible, sure, but it would have to be a big cooperative, which raises issues if people who are just scraping by would be willing to invest in something which may ultimately fail, thus harming them further. Though it would be interesting to see if cooperatives have ever suceeded in these situations.

  • @ShudderProductions

Agreed you do need the means and to get that would probably take a philanthropist, or a bunch of well informed consumers not willing to buy the products that come from sweatshops. And maybe a state that doesn't make deals with the IMF or World Bank that strips the workers of their rights. And you are right it may fail but booms and busts are always a possibility for anyone working within the spectrum of a flawed system.

  • @oofay789 It's not flawed, just has credit bubbles from Government involvement which makes what would be enclosed failures widespread. Most of the problems arise because that the Governments of these countries make deals with corporates and put thereselves into positions where they need corporations to simply sustain growth, it would be much better if they opened up their resources to their own citizens to make their own businesses.
