  • dont worry about the noise its just the heat shields and pipes cooling down.when hot they expand when cooling they contract you will hear this on new cars and trucks as well. one thing i will say is ya might want to change over to a good synthetic oil and an oil cooler cant hurt.i use Amsoil 20-50 in the motor 10-40 in the prim and i think its 75-90 severe gear all synthetic in the tranny i also use 02 foolers for lack of a better word to help keep the bike cool. and the oil itself made a diff

  • @gregless95b Thanks. Actually, after the cat and the PCV, switching to Amsoil made the pinging stop. Pretty awesome, i say.

  • the popping is because your bike is cooling after a long ride , my bike does it too and its got nothing to do w/ tuning, just cooling

  • Hate to show my ignorance, but thought picking up a PCV would reduce the pinging (b/c the engine should cool better and run cooler, etc). No dice. Guess it's inescapable.
