@JSViola93 No, it isn't bad at all. There is no single correct violin bow hold. Her method works quite well for her (and for a few others).  Certainly, one can't argue with the results, as her playing is simply amazing.

@AndruR789 No, it a violin. The maker liked to make his violins with an elongated neck back 300 years ago. She says it's a 9/8ths in one of her interviews. Mairead jokes that she got an oversized violin and yet she's always been so short.
