  • I had DH which then turned to celiac disease..I am currently taking dapsone which is used for DH. I have been gluten free for a month now and my stomach is now pain free and I have more energy. When you are eating gluten and have celiac your small intestine lining gets flared and dosen't soak up proper nutritions your body needs which sucks. If anyone has any questions get at me!!

  • Thanks for the advice! I've had eczema all my life as well... But my current flareup is major... I LOVE wheat bread, but now that I'm learning more about Ciliac, I will ask to be tested. Thx again!

  • How long did your wife go gluten free before the itching went away? Did they find that she was allergic to anything else on top of the celiacs?

  • So, is Celiac disease more like a food allergie? I mean, celiac disease is people allergic to gluten? Interesting video, there is more information on related topics at Symposier site available for physicians, in fact it would be amazing that more physicians shared their knowledge on this specific disease with other physicians.

  • Celiac disease is an autoimmune reaction to gluten protein. There is no histamines produced by ingesting gluten so it's not an actual allergy. Symposier looked interesting but I'm not a physician so I didn't sign up.
