it's Danney Alkana and always was... I couldn't believe it myself like 3 years ago..but it's true...It's because ppl download music instead of buying albums - it it's Satch, Vai or Malmsteen pls type from which album this is and tell me why they didn't sue Danney for putting it on his myspace and CD...

It is the force of the Beethoven music. When we listen to this symphony, we have the energetic feeling and at the same time a very strong thought with Beethoven.
I don't know why anyone would say this is Yngwie, since there are copies of Yngwie playing it on Youtube and they sound nothing like this.
My guess would be that if it's not Satch or Vai, it's some nobody trying to sound like them, thinking that if someone mistakes them for Vai/Satch, that they must be as good as them... ignoring the huge difference between innovating & copying someone's style.
well suomick you obviously dont know guitar either because if you look up yngwie malmsteen solo- japan at 4:42 youll clearly see its him who did it like 20 years ago. lol can you say owned?
btw i have every satch dvd and cd and he doesnt play this song so maybe if you knew a little more about him youd understand just because something sounds like satch doesnt mean it is him on top of which people say he plays the top gun theme song cause it sounds like him but he even stated its not him
his pickups are single coil, noiseless single coil, they are buit on a technology of that of humbuckers but they are still single coils the power output are still lower then humbuckers. The tone is different very much diff, I've played on his strat before
His YJMs are based on the HS3.... which is a stacked humbucker. It's also why Dimarzio lists it in the Hum Canceling section of the strat list -- those are all humbuckers. You have to click the "Standard Strat" link if you want the single coils.
Another tip-off would be that a lot of them are named after the standard humbuckers (Tonezone, Super Distortion, etc...) that they are the stacked (or railed) version of.
I'd also add that the lower output is his preference -- not a limitation of the pickup. He lets the amp do the work.
Half of the people that buy his pickup because they want to sound like him probably don't know that and are expecting it to be some super powerful pickup that will make any garbage amp scream like their Yngwie CDs... not realizing how much more there is to his sound.
That's not Malsteen style at all, more like Satriani indeed. It's pretty obvious when you listen carefully to the bends, they are very cleanly controlled. It's quite appearant at 1.25.
Sounds like Satriani. It couldn't be Malmsteen, because Malmsteen rips classical pieces apart, and doesn't respect the originals like this by complementing the music with his guitar, instead of making the music follow the guitar.
@Govanator12 Satch never did a studio version--ditto for the other so called guys who have supposedly done it--PLAIN AND SIMPLE--this is Danney Alkana's version from his 1981 "Rock the Bach" CD. LOOK IT UP!
I've been doing some research on the song and Satch's and Malmsteen's versions are the exact same. So we can't be sure who plays this. My guess is Satch though!

How we can identify that is really Satch who plays the song?
Well, first of all, there is a lot of his Legato here, his vibrato!, and his classic guitar scream!
Then, who plays the song?... Satch!!

malmsteen did do his own version of the 5th though. that may be what mark is getting it confused with.
