It is sad to see this in Mayo. It is very sad when good decent people are reduced to this. With all fairness I have not seen both sides of the argument. But two view it even in a most unbiased way as I can why would 5 very decent, law abiding men spend 94 days in prison voluntarily if they felt there was no other option.I do share solidarity with these people, as so often when you find the courts wont look at something objectively what can you expect people to do.

When people blocked one side of the road by sitting on it, the police directed the driver to move to the other side, without checking whether the way was clear, and so a protester at the rear of the lorry was run over by the back wheel.

I seen video's on here that have gardaí instead of arrestting protestors actually deliberally throwing them into roadside ditches? that's not right. There is definitely a case in the courts for neglect towards human life. Someone could of been killed. Ah well it's pointless talking.
