You're not the only one with an iPhone/iPod touch. No one cares if you think it's lame. It's still relaly popular and people are gonna use these apps.
Anyway facebook already has an official app while twitter doesn't

i wouldn't call it lame, I'm not a fan i just have it just in case but social networking is social networking. plus in the beginning people probably called facebook and Myspace lame
