if anybody does any reloading on here then pick up (try not to puchase) a bag of their 55 grain fmj ,224 100 round bag of bullets and if you can open it up or look at two or three different bullets in the same pack and NONE of them will be the same
either the cannelure will change, length will change and/or weight is way off
sometimes diameter is off and even the ogive is in the wrong spot
and you could have all of these happen at once
might as well yell BANG real loud and pick up a rock
Wincheser ammo is made to a quality level that meets all saami specs, I have found it is not as ductile as norma brass, but either way it still reloads and shoot's fine in tikka .30-06.
@famousPhotog Winchester brass is the best in its class. Exactly as you put it premium ammo reloaders use an expensive and boutique product supplied by Lapua/Norma. When it comes to value, Winchester is second to none.
Winchester is garbage. Every time I buy a bag of Brass, I immediately have to throw away about 3 cases away because of split necks, at least one case has a flashole that has not been punched out, and several case necks split in the dies or after firing. Lapua brass is much higher in quality and lasts twice as long. I have used Privi Partizan brass that was higher quality than what Winchester uses. I will concede that their primers are some of the best I've used.
@Wireman134 This plant is still in operation and will be for a short while longer, manufacturing is being moved to a larger scale plant in Oxford Mississippi. This is where Winchester rimfire is being manufactured already. All Winchester Ammunition is made in the USA or Australia.
@winchesteraustralia lol making ammunition in a country were there are more kangaroos then firearms. I'm not making fun of Winchester but i kind of find it ironic that one of the biggest producers of ammunition produces some of it in Australia, a country known for banning firearms.
WOW--Thats VERY impressive!! I would LOVE to do a factory tour!! Is Winchester hring?? I would work there in a heartbeat!! Thanks for posting this vid---God Bless

@shawnsent I totally agree. Their ballistic Silvertips are great for deer. Just stay off the bone. They explode when you hit the shoulders.

If Winchester brass is so good, then why do so many premium bullet makers and reloaders use Lapua or Norma brass?
