I hate Seattle drivers. It's not charming, it's sickening. You people drive like you've all got corn cobs up your asses. I can't wait until my contract is over and I can go back to someplace where the sun shines and the people know how to drive an automobile. Smell my ass, you mindless chimps.
So we get discounts on car insurance for being bad drivers? Pretty sure I learned the "person to the right has the right of way" protocol at about age 6...
Ohh dear god this happened to me in Enumclaw, WA last weekend when I came to an intersection with a 2 way stop and an old man pedestrian! The old man faces the crosswalk standing at the curb. Two opposing cars on the road try to yield to this old man but he tries to wave them on. I am waiting on the two main cars to GO so that I can cross the road. I also have an opposing driver trying to turn left in front me but every car is lurching forward so I gunned it - got tired of the bullshit!
Part 2 - When turning left (ps I signal too), and yielding to oncoming traffic these Seattle drivers also love to slam on the brakes and yield to YOU and vertical fish palm wave you in front of them instead of just going and letting you yield to them! Drives me crazy because they disrupt the national order of driving and actually make it unsafe!
Jeez, I'd hate to be the pedestrian at that meeting of the minds... By the time one of the cars decides to go, they're both gonna be so frustrated, the pedestrian will be lucky to not get run over.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Pemco, for having the guts to get it right. BTW, I have learned just to stop, then go. Period. Thanks for waiting. Your politeness is apprecitated.
I saw this ad and said, "Yup, that would be me." I walk everywhere and when a car's heading out of a driveway, I always say "Go ahead..."and do the little hand gesture thing, and at least half the time the driver does the same. Drives my boyfriend absolutely nuts. :-)

ROFL! The longer I live in Seattle, the more relatable these commercials are.

This is how it's solved: The guy seeing the other car coming from the right stops.

@jayhaoliao But see, this is Seattle, the dude on the right is trying to be nicer than the lady in the van. Who ever goes last wins.
No, it doesn't make any gods damn sense.

I've joked about this for years.
What do you call a four-way stop sign in this city?
A 'Seattle Standoff.'

As a native New Yorker who moved here 3 years ago, I love these guys. "You go. No, you go. No, you go. OK!" *zoom*
