@jtfsucks its not bad response time, when you have drag races at tracks like that they match people up based off preliminary times and if you dont have someone to match you then they set your lights on a delay so that the person your running with has a fair start...so that 5.5 cutty doesnt have a two second lead on that camaro

If u wanna run 10-12's ur prolly gonna wanna run a 9 inch and some SERIOUS motor work. I'm running a Comp Cams Thumpr Cam, and full roller rockers, 3.42 gears. Hoping it'll run strong on the strip, I think later on I'm gonna do a shift kit.......that is until a put a lever through the floor :). Anyway good luck with the build

What did you to to the suspension to get it to hook up like that? What stall do you have? What size tires, wheel size/offset? I'm setting up my cutlass suspension now, mines not anything close to what you've got there (500hp sbc but looking at a turbo in the future)... yours is sick
i cant wait to get my cutlass going...i have an 80 cutlass that had a stock bottom end 403 but i tore it up....number 2 piston and rod did a dissapearing act....lol...i was only running 7.30's 1/8 mile at around 88mph.. i had some 1968 w31 ram air heads on it...love them things..250 @ 50 cam.street dominator intake...etc. im puttin together an LSX 427 ...with patriot heads and a couple other goodies with a precision 76 setup....im hopin t run mid to low 6's in the 1/8 not bad for a street car =)

I got a 79 cutlass also that Im building. It'll be a street/strip car thats able to run low 8s to high 7s and still run on the freeway while still on pump gas. Im either gonna build a LS motor on a single or twin turbo setup or get a BBC crate motor from Steve Morris racing engines. But im kinda leaning toward the LS setup. But keep up the good work and post more vids of the cutty.
This car would very much so destroy any import I own a honda civic with no body kit or stupid exhaust mod's or any shit just simple engine upgrades but never would I think a import could compare to this car. This cutlass easily pushing over 1000 hp on this start and imports only 300 max.
@nastyku What model Supra? I am assuming you are talking about the MKIV, a tube chassis one might be able to get down to 2000lbs but one that is comparable to this wouldn't be a whole lot lighter.

@nastyku stock for stock they weigh about they (Cutlass/g-body vs MKIV) aren't far off in weight to get down to 2000lbs it wouldn't be comparable to this car. As far as japanese imports the MKIV has to be imo the cream of the crop. I don't think one could go this fast for the same amount of money though. IIRC this cars turbo setup is based on $200 ebay headers and uses a $600 turbo.

I got a 79 cutlass also that Im building. It'll be a street/strip car thats able to run low 8s to high 7s and still run on the freeway while still on pump gas. Im either gonna build a LS motor on a single or twin turbo setup or get a BBC crate motor from Steve Morris racing engines. But im kinda leaning toward the LS setup. But keep up the good work and post more vids of the cutty.

This car would very much so destroy any import I own a honda civic with no body kit or stupid exhaust mod's or any shit just simple engine upgrades but never would I think a import could compare to this car. This cutlass easily pushing over 1000 hp on this start and imports only 300 max.

Im not for tuners very much, but you can get a toyota supra to have 1000 horse and weight 1500 pounds less than that cutty...

@nastyku What model Supra? I am assuming you are talking about the MKIV, a tube chassis one might be able to get down to 2000lbs but one that is comparable to this wouldn't be a whole lot lighter.

@Wopadas Yea im talking about the mkiv lol, i know for a fact that they can drop to 2000 lbs. i mean im not trying to sound like a hater, the car in this video is incredibly. im just saying that not all imports are shit. 980horse was pulled out of a stock supra block...I guarantee a supra with the money put into it that this car has would give it a run for it's money. maybe not 100% on a strip considering those fattys and rear end are prolly insane. have to give some respect , fuck honda tho

@nastyku stock for stock they weigh about they (Cutlass/g-body vs MKIV) aren't far off in weight to get down to 2000lbs it wouldn't be comparable to this car. As far as japanese imports the MKIV has to be imo the cream of the crop. I don't think one could go this fast for the same amount of money though. IIRC this cars turbo setup is based on $200 ebay headers and uses a $600 turbo.
