Oh that is so weird, I had my music player on shuffle and it was randomly playing 'host of seraphim', I paused the song half way through to watch this trailer and the same song starts playing in the background.

I did a total doubletake there, that was too weird lmao.

I have heard examples of what you're talking about but I do understand enough Japanese, and hear it spoken many times on a daily basis by multiple people, to notice the difference. The more modern/cartoony anime has this issue at times. But movies like Arcadia of My Youth, or shows like Legends of the Galactic Heroes play out much better in Japanese because of the refinement of the voice acting.

I don't know what a weeaboo is although it sounds scary. However, the problem with American dubbing is that while the Japanese take their anime acting seriously, the guys in the west always sound like overacting cartoon characters. I think that Harmony Gold set the standard for this post Robotech.

You want to know the strangest thing? A lot of Japanese import anime from America because they feel there is a lot of overacting in the Japanese sub. It's weird how some have a preference for an English dub over their own native language. Even the international releases of Final Fantasy has the English dub over the Japanese dub. There is even a big issue over Modern Warfare 2 in Japan because SE didn't include the English dub.

What ever you say champ. Vampire Hunter D Blood Lust, Street Fighter, Ninja Scroll, Advent Children, Appleseed, Vexille, Angel Cop, Bastard and Gyver all had great voice acting so I really don't know what you're talking about.

The japanese voice actors do the exact same thing, if anything, they overact even worse. You just don't notice it because you can't understand what they're saying, so you're not able to understand how the words that they're saying are used in everyday life and regular context in their country.

I agree with treeboy683. Visually one of the best anime - no the best I've seen. The story however holds about as much water as a slug in a salt factory. The characters are typical stereotypes and I got the feeling that this film was a mashing of the MAtrix, Ghost in the shell and Equilibrium. Now that sounds great on the surface til you realise it was probably written by the guy who made Gili.

OK its not that bad but as anime stories go its below par - everything else in it is top class.

Ahh, that's the great thing about human individuality; we're all free to form differing opinions. I for one found this film to be on of the best I've seen in quite some time. And if you haven't seen Vexille on Blu-Ray or in the theater, then you haven't really seen it - the graphic rendering is craaaaaaazy good!

this was a great movie I recommand any anime fan watch it's worth the 21 dollers it cost me and the movie it self has a valauble lesson in it.

and you can't help but feel sorry for the people of Japan in this movie.
