  • This is actually pretty cool nice job very creative

  • isn't lego toxic? the chemicals/paint on the blocks will leach into the water??

  • so natural :))

  • Gay

  • THATS COOL!! I WAS A LEGO FREAK WHEN I WAS YOUNG...JUST HOPE ITS NOT YOUR SONS FAV LEGO SET...

  • crazy stupid

  • Lol love the decor!

  • great vid. made me laugh.

  • Beautiful tank....

    Horrible decoration....

  • @G1GAR0 to each his own!

  • legos....

  • haha very creative :)

  • Cool setup. Nice guppies.

  • Does your legos cloud up the tank

  • @CLONEtrooperECO nop, there's a plastic plate stuck on the bottom of the tank, under the sand, making possible to plug lego on it ;)

  • I have Lego sets and I have cichlids will the legos cloud up the tank will my cichlids pick of peaces because my piraña eats anything I put in the tank

  • That completely black guppy is pretty awesome.

  • That is beautiful!!

  • That is cool !! :)

  • you wanna be sure its not made from a plastic that will leech toxins into the water and kill your fish, after all lego isn't really designed for aquatic use

  • @jjarman009 Nope, it was designed for little kids to chew on. I guess it's safe enough!

  • Seems silly to spend all that money on an aquarium made to look super classy, then fill it with toys. But to each its own I s'pose.

  • i had that same lego sub

  • hahaha how the fuck do you get the legos to stay underwater xD mine fucking float xD

  • @starwarsking5 just have a look in front of the fishtank, the gray stuff.. is in fact the floor of all the aquarium, easy then to plug on it any other lego ;)

  • @charleslales33 hey jw was that a black guppie a saw

  • @charleslales33 lol...just lol...

  • @britoe97 rofl wherd u get that from this wierd guy in my college says that all the fucking time :D

  • plant would have been much better than lego toy, but, well pleases Wems

  • i like turtles

  • @Britoe97 i like the wizard of oz......................i like santa claus (hahahah hope y'all can get the reference, i couldnt help myself, God bless!) :)

  • That is really good! I like the leggos! Pleasze check out mine

  • How many guppies can you have in a tank like this without overcrowding?

  • @bluey1610 You could probably fit 5 females and 2 males adults comfortably there whole life.

  • dramat klocki lego

  • Hate those fish but as a whole u have a great setup

  • Hahah! I love it man. I was a lego freak as a kid, and this is something I would have done.

Love the music choice too. This is funny.

  • not ahhmazzinnnggg

  • OMG!! I need to put legos in my aquarium! Its looks soooo bad ass!!!!

  • crazy futuristic looking set up :)

it's original I'll say that for it

  • the fluval edge... imo.. is a waste for this set up

  • Legoland for fish!! Cool.

  • strange but cool as hell!!

  • my friend, your ideas have just made my day....

  • wow. this is cool.

  • Omg that is funny:)

  • Have any of you out there had the same problem as me, the fixture i attach the lights to has a sheet of what looks like foil around the holes you insert the two connection points to, this seems to flake with the heat from the bulbs and the dampness of the water, is anyone else expeirencing this????!!!

  • @ozkar1888 sorry.. just can't understand what you mean.. :-o

  • @charleslales33 When you attach the GU-4 lamps, the acctual part that comes in contact with the light. It has a layer of silver on it but mine has started to "Flake" if you take a look no, unplugg your lamps, that silver layer on the fixture has started to flake on mine.

  • @ozkar1888 have a look here for example w w w.ampoule-leds.fr/ampoule-led-mr11-c-1_25.html should depend on the intensity (SMD/high power) and the heat dissipation system

from my exp, the only thing you realy should take care of is the protection glass between led and water.. otherwise you'll lost quiet quickly the leds :-/

  • @charleslales33 My tank just has the default lights, i just wondered if anyone else had this problem because the flakes of what ever they are made of are falling into the tank and i dont want it to affect the fish. Just take the light out off the fitting and have a look at what is there stroke your finger over it and you will understand what im talking about its like a silvery mirror looking sheet of plastic but it flakes so much into my tank

  • @ozkar1888 in this case.. just give up this stupid halogen lamp.. and try a led one! On an animal exhibition on Paris I talked to the fluval team.. and they plan to delivry the Edge with a led system.. but still not yet done :-/

  • how did you make the lego safe for the tank?

  • @Sabrermk42 nothing special..

  • Very nice buddy.

  • how do you put so many fish in a 6 gallon tank?

  • @YiuYeung You add them ;) More seriously, the most important is to keep some good water parameters.. how big ever is your tank.

  • Yeeeah lego*-*

  • Fluval edge or biorb life 60???

  • very nice !!!!!!!!!! ;)

  • wow great m8

  • Hey! Love the setup for sure but I got a question? Where did you get the light bro and what type of vacuum do you use to clean the sand? Thanks so much! Keep posting some more of this aquarium landscape if youve changed anything so far...hope that was understandable.:)

    Thanks

  • @PortrayArt thanks! the lighting system is based on led from this website : energy-led dit com and the sand vacuum is a specific one, simple and suitable shape, from Fluval.. ;)

  • very relaxing, i prefer guppies over arowanas, flowerhorn, gars, bass, they just look cruel

  • Haha awesome lego piece! I love the black sand too... looks very stylish.

  • Hi!

I am going to do a similar setup to this, I was wondering if A) Do Guppies produce much waste? & B) How hard was it to wash the black sand?

    Thanks!

    Benjamin

  • @fattail95 hi, guppies don't produce so much waste compared to the efficient filter and it's not so difficult to clean the sand thanks to the special vacuum cleaner with an angle..

  • very cool how long you have them for did any die

  • @13murad hi, you can keep them alive very long time since the guppies origin is good and you provide them good water quality thanks water swap and clean filter!

  • That is so selfish. You designed your tank without the fish in mind. Try putting a plant in there instead of toys. Aren't legos made in China? Everyone knows China's products all contain lead.

  • thats so nice

  • Hi, I love your fish tank.

Do you have a heater in there for your tropical fish? I'm thinking of buying this tank today but i'm not sure if the heater fits with the lid.

    Thank you :)

  • @Leannedawnuk hi, thanks! the heater isn't sold with the fish tank but you can buy one especialy for it, a small one heating up to ~25°C..

if you use led lighting as in this case, you might have to heat it up..

  • @masondrumm not so difficult, you've just have to build lego things in the tank ;)

  • even though this tank isn't that practical guppies were probably the best choice for it. Although it does great for marketing, (it's small, compact, asthetically pleasing and modern), the fish's comfort and well being wern't taken much into consideration when designing this tank. Oh well, I love how you decorated it though! that's sweet. haha.

  • @stephlau87 thx ;) you're right, this tank is not realy a natural ecosystem of guppies but just a design and fun try!

  • @charleslales33 I was thinking of doing a halo3 or COD themed tank, I really wana get people on that bandwagon so I can see some unique ideas..interested? gamer much? I was thinking for the cod it might have to be a more naturalistic tank with live plants and some fake buildings but for the halo tank I have no idea where to start?? figurines?? that's all I have lol

  • @stephlau87 hum.. halo oki, i know it.. COD.. let's googlize a bit.. Call of Duty! lol

well, could be fun sure! I could give you a piece of advise about syntetic landscape to put in. you have to buy some expanding polyurethane foam, to sculp this background, to resin it with some sand... fun stuff to do! good luck!

  • @charleslales33 Thats awesome! thx for the advice : D

  • @charleslales33 do halo it would be so much better

    love the lego

  • @stephlau87 I dont whant to be a troll or a flamer ,.. but why not do what the fish like ;). All these colors will make the fish un happy and it's the lego is all chemicals from the plastic and coloring of the plastic is not good for the fish

    Peace

  • Can you tell me where you got your blue leds from and what type they are because i want to add some to my fluval edge thanks!

  • hi there, nice,i also am setting up my second aquarium with Lego,i will upload video soon

  • @masondrumm take picts or videos ;)

  • this is soooo cool. great idea !!!

  • How do you clean those? I want one soooooo bad but it looks hard to maintain. Thanks!

  • @MissCountryChloe Just avoid to let it in the direct sun light and switch the alogen bulb with a led one (high intensity and temp one) ;)

  • Dude this tank is great Nice with Da legos

  • This might be a nooby question but will the original lighting blind a beta fish/?

  • @manzwatik no, don't worry about this, the beta fish could even find a shady part of the aquarium if needed

  • DId you change the light bulbs instead of the standard halogen yellow bulbs?

    if so what kind

  • @kpkorean88 yes i did, just read the others post, take care about open bulb..

  • @ybotlang hi! just with a little amount of sand or in pluging lego blocks to the plan stuck on the floor of the aquarium ;)

  • Cool idea :)

  • One day you wake up and the Guppys have built a house^^.

  • thats a kool tank how do you keep your tank from getting ick my fish all was get it i just mad them better but i had 15 and 3 lived rolf and babies to are alive

  • Very. Nice.

  • @ybotlang hi! clean them and it will be ok ;)

  • The surface mounted led ones (small yellow squares on a flat surface) that most people use are exposed to splash and condensation created by the filters waterfall. This decreases the output and corrodes the LEDs VERY fast.

These bulbs (cool white; wide beam) are the BEST direct replacement for the edge.

    ledwaves com/Illum-MR-11-LED-Light-Bulb-2-Watt-Cree-reg-XLamp-reg-XRE-LED-p-19620.html

They are completely protected an have the best coverage that I have seen.

  • @blakeaftab You're right, it's true and observed since few mounths ! thank's for the suggestion, I may buy this one : Athens MR-16 LED Light Bulb 5-Watt (3x Cree XLamp XRE LEDs), a cool white bulb with a wide (Approx. 88°) lighting zone ;)

  • @charleslales33 The Athens is an MR-16 bulb. The pins are slightly farther apart than the MR-11. I have heard that the MR-16 can be forced into the MR-11 fixture, but by doing so, an MR-11 will no longer fit after an MR-16 has been forced into the fixture. I use the illum MR-11's and love them. The Athens will be far brighter. Just make sure the larger footprint of the bulb will fit under the hood. You could also pretty easily replace the MR-11 fixture with an MR-16 fixture.

  • put some plants please!!!!!

  • Hey nice tank! i like the blue light's, when you bought this tank it didn't come with the blue light's did it?

  • @KidFrom106 hi, no it was sold with an halogen system, yellow colored, producing producing, watt comsoming lamp. I switched it with some new led system (6000K) found on french webstore energy-led com /catalog/ampoule-12v-g4-mr11-12-leds-slim-lumiere-du-jour-p-241.html

  • @charleslales33 I see i bought the tank today the 10 watt bulbs suck's! lol i'm looking for better bulbs now, looking for blue n white bulb's :)

  • @KidFrom106 What I did was replace the Halogens with the illum Mr-11 Cool White Wide bulbs from ledwaves. I then purchased a "wide angle" 4-LED blue aquarium light bar from Ebay. "Wide Angle" actually means each LED has an offset angle to create the illusion of a wide beam. I then used strip ties to attach the small bar to the light fixture cross beam under the hood. Works like a charm and was very cheap. They also make blue/white mix light bars for a whiter blue appearance.

  • @charleslales33 Do you know any other web site's like UK site's???

  • hey i wanted to ask you with those light could you have coral? and also if you can where can i buy them and if you could possibly put up a vid showing the lights how to put them in

oh most importantly where you get them and how much they cost you?

  • @pokemon426 hi! you can try this kind of "temperature" of light (6000K) but it won't be enough for hard coral. You should better look at this website/lamp system, baybe small enough to be included in edge : nanotuners dot c o m

  • @pokemon426- your asking for problems if you use this tank for a saltwater coral setup. it is a beautiful looking design but makes maintenance more difficult

  • @ charles thank you for commenting me can you help me on set up mine

  • hello what kind of sand is that its very pretty

  • @Tatjana786 it's some black or dark grey (anthracit) one from Dennerle nano cube, the "Nano Shrimps Gravel Bed, Sulawesi black" it's pretty cool thanks to the harmless rounded form ;)

  • @ianjay82 hi, you're right, this isn't the initial halogen lamps but a led system : white intense (6000 K), less heat, more energy saving !

    from a french onlineshop :energy-led com /catalog/ampoule-12v-g4-mr11-12-leds-slim-lumiere-du-jour-p-241.html

  • when i tried drowning a lego construct it shot right back in my face

how are you able to avoid the resurfacing of the submarines?

-(seems as if you pushed the subs into the sand/filled them up, is that all that is necessary?)

  • @hexbugmrc I think he attached weights. Sand wouldn't keep them down.

  • all right thank you : ) ,heared that often that even neons are harmfull for the shrimp so I guess its going to be a tank without other fish.

But aren't there any fish that don't tend to suck in or eat the shrimp? . . . except snails :)

  • I think about creating a tank just like that one (54L) for shrimp and a small group of neons using life plants, some airstones and a more mountainous hardskape.

What do you guys think about that? I just worry about chemicals the plastic might exhaust into the water.

  • @hexbugmrc hi, it's a goog project but don't mixt shrimp with neons because of the baby shrimp size. use a lot of water with plastic element before put them in the tank ;)

  • Comment removed

  • this tank isn't level!

  • I have the same tank, too many fish in there mate, they not going to last long. 4 is the max.

  • love those kinds of aquriums

  • good concept with the legos but badly executed...doesnt look that great you need to probably crowd it more. Plus I think wrong choice of fish for legos.

  • these guppies have no inherent instinct for a natural environment because they are so many generations tank raised in my opinion...

  • how about you put some live plants and go for a more natural look the fish will probably have less stress and you wouldn't have put a beautiful aquarium to waste.

  • a piece of lego would not stress them out.

  • Awesome !

    Meuh !

  • Super beau!Quel ampoule à tu utilisé? =)

    merci!
