The fact that we can't handle everything is humbling, really. We have a Father that, when we pursue him in trials (Hebrews 4:16), He is faithful to comfort us and guide us through, and we will have victory through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Doctrine: proves nothing. If christian doctrine proves it`s credibility so does the communist doctrine etc. A global church proves nothing. Do you think Mormonism is credible ? The holy spirit, is a joke, Inspiring all bible readers, interpreters and translators in a different way.

Google it for more info (i cant post a link unfortunately!) , including Christs Crucifixion foretold thousands of years before the invention of Crucifixion! (Obviously Christ didn't decide to crucify himself - proof he hasn't just gone through a list of prophecies and attempted to fulfill them!)

Take E.G. the most important one from Isaiah about the coming of Christ. He was to ne named Emmanuel. Was he ???. Besides, what`s the point of predicting an event 700 years in the future ? If I predict today something fantastic for the year 2,711, do you think anybody is going to give a sh... ??

I hear ya but His name will also be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Emmanuel is 'Theophoric' in nature, its a statement about that person, God. I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (Sept. 5), our Sunday School Lesson was from Exodus 3: 1-6, 13-15. It was about Moses and the Burning Bush. This hymn would have gone perfect with this lesson. In the Bible, this was one of many ways that God revealed himself to the people of that day. Moses had fled Egypt after murdering an Egyptian and being confronted with it by a fellow Hebrew. He was a shepherd when this occured.

One of the most precious commands of the Lord is given to Isaiah when in Isaiah 40:1 he tells us to: Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Matthew 25 then goes on to teach us how serious Jesus is about this when he separates the sheep from the goats based on how well we cared for those in prison, the sick, the stranger, the hungry, etc. Comfort ye my people!

Sometimes God just wants to here from you so just talk to him like you would to a friend. Keep persisting in prayer for a deeper relationship with him and read his WORD.
