@adil5131 .... it's not to big to fail. It's too big for our needs. Federal operations should not be exempt from restructuring, especially when technology makes them obsolete. Mail is an environmentally poor choice for communication. 99% of my mail is junk mail I never read.... printed on dead trees, delivered by a gas burning truck, hauled away by a gas burning truck, and dumped into a landfill. the Post office told me when i called about the mail delivery and Bridgett from there god forsakeing overseas callcenter and this is what was said "you will get your mail when you get it" after 5 days of waiting for a first-class letter that was overnighted i askedthem to email me my rcorded phone conversation with them and they refused wonder Y Some U.S goverment we got can do what they please without getting in any trouble But you go to jail for pissing behind a f-ing dumpter.
Lol, these posts crack me up, you guys realize that talking shit over the internet is like running a race at the special olympics, no matter how well you do your still retarded, lol
@ncman28025. You righteous bastard. You can't see the forest for the trees! The USPS is what's known as a quasi-governmental organization. It is not included in the government's budget. A stamp is simply proof that a consumer has paid for a service, just like a receipt. But, go ahead. Criticize things you don't know about. Studies show that even when people are confronted with irrefutetable proof, they still believe as before even though that's completely illogical! You're an angry idiot.
@youpace It's in the red. It is you that seems to not understand economics. You and Obama have much in common. It was a dumb analogy to use. Also, you call me an angry idiot while screaming that I'm a righteous bastard. Can you spell hypocrite? Anger management is your issue, not mine....IDIOT!
The problem with the post office is that the clerks aren't allowed to be courteous and attentive to my needs. If the Postmasters would let the window clerks be the pleasant people that I know they are, I would be happy to continue to do business with them. Their forced sentence structure and long winded questioning annoys me every time I go to the post office anymore.
If I want to send something Express Mail, I will tell them! I don't need to be asked every time I go to the post office.
Fire all the Desk Jockeys that sit on their ass all day long giving B.S. orders to the only hard working craft in the Post Office which are the Letter Carriers. If those Desk Jockeys would just back off and give them 5 feet of respect an fire all t he ones who just drive around in theire cars inspecting letters and the criticizing everything they due, maybe the Post Office will do better in Revenue better than UPS and Fedex...and lower the stamps to 40 cents and more people will buy them.
Best way to keep price down by having all electric cars. More people are going to pay their bills online. Gas is getting costly so therefore, they have to start using energy savings example weekly mail delivery, solar power at all post office, wind power and electric cars long runs they will save money.
Oops,,,, I just stepped on my own dick. More correct words have never been spoken. UPS and FedEX are doing great because they have folks working there with an interest for the two companies to grow, USPS is sucking ass because the Gubament is running it and if it doesn't do well, well hell, we will just get the money from some other part of the budget. USPS doesn't have consequences for piss poor performance, it is funded by the people. UPS and FedEX have to provide superior performance.
@okiewaker USPS used to be subsidized by taxpayers but it hasn't been for years. Know what you're talking about before you comment. UPS and FedEX are doing great because their employees care---you are right on that one. The post office hires wayyyyyyyy too many retired military who already earn a pension and could care less about the future of the post office. If the post office hired young, non-military retirees, you'd see the efficiency sky-rocket. Looking forward to that day.
@sumdumfoo1 UPS doesnt care about their service . They Give your packages away to your neighbors if you are not home and they charge too much. The post office is by far and away the best way to go.
@sumdumfoo1 I think you should check your facts. While the post office doesn't directly get tax subsidies any more it still is deeply in debt. Last time I checked in Mid 2010 their debt was about 3.5 Billion. Where do they borrow their money from? The US Treasury. You think they will ever pay off that debt? No. So if they get a loan from the tax payers that they never will pay back it might as well be a government subsidy. The government uses many smoke an mirror tactics like this.
I have seen an insane documentary it is very interesting and informative and i believe everyone should watch it it is called "Slavery by Consent" search for it on youtube and watch it you will be glad you did, trust me it will leave you speechles.

Will the billions in new "healthcare" taxes be saved up for the program or spent on servicing debt & replaced by "I.O.U.'s" exactly like Social Security, Medicare, etc? Has any liberal idea ever progressed beyond "ponzi scheme"?
Does it make you feel impotent to see a black man accomplish more than you could ever dream. BTW you do realize that he was a law professor for 12 years...also was the President of the Harvard Law Review...he graduated with a JD magna cum laude. This guy busted his ass in school and now a cackle of ignorant racists who can't pay their child support are calling him dumb.
The only reason the Postal Serivce has been in the red the last couple of years is because they are the ONLY government agency that is required to Pre-Pay employee retirements. Therefore, I was hired as a clerk 5 years ago. As soon as I was hired, they (by law) had to pre-pay my retirement. If not for this silly requirement, the Postal Service would have seen green in the negative years.
Idiot, you've been claiming that the USPS is not paid via taxes and then admit its a government agency. The taxpayers paid your salary idiot. Please take that tax money and get yourself an education.
UPS & FedEx employees have to worry about losing their jobs, Post Office employees don't have that worry...that is why the Postal Service is in trouble-- SORRY ASS WORKERS.
I believe a gov't run insurance program can run and be self-sustaining. I mean look what great shape Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc etc are doing! FAIL NO LIBERAL IDEA HAS PROGRESSED BEYOND "PONZI SCHEME"
Discrimination of the disabled in the USA sucks ass, The US Postal Service will not deliver my mail because when I was a fire fighter I injured my brain (TBI) so I act about a fraction this bad, so call 1-800- ask-usps & ask why they discriminate against a TBI fireman in Cave Junction, Oregon or better yet call cave junction post office 541-592-3709 ask for Patty R. or Jeffry F. & ask why they discriminate against a disabled fireman @ this office, I DARE YOU!
the private sector carriers are surviving because they have to worry about not having an income/profit and not about election year. Besides people prefer their service over USPS any day.
Jamlechus - You should try understanding an issue before forming an opinion.
How long would UPS and FedEx survive government-mandated staffing for thousands of small towns and rural post offices, and guaranteed delivery 6 days a week to every residence in America, charging rates that are a fraction of the cost?
Think about it, it's not that difficult.
Or would you rather let your Obamessiah, the accomplished bullshit artist and pathological liar, continue to do your thinking for you?
Sorry, Jammy. I had just gotten up and read too many comments from easily-led dummies who buy into the bash-the-post-office thing without thinking about it; guess I was preachin' to the choir :o)
I should have had some coffee before going into YouTube this morning.
I just experienced a bad post office shipment, they busted my package and told me to bad, you should have bought insurance, all I wanted was my cost of shipping back
He wants government run healthcare and yet he just admited that the post office is screwed up and the private sector run UPS and FEDEX are doing just fine. He just stepped on his own dick.
FUCK THE POST OFFICE, FUCK THE POSTMASTER GENERAL! FUCK YOU GREEDY FUCKING UPPER MANAGEMENT! LETTER CARRIERS RUN THIS SERVICE! without us the post office will DIE! im using email, fuck this nazi ass job, STRESS LEAVE!!!
I'm so proud of our Dear Reader. This was the most retarded analogy anyone has ever given. Comparing the post office, a government run/taxpayer funded organization, to 2 free market businesses like UPS and FedEx. I laugh every single time I hear Obama speak. Hey Obama, one is bankrupt and the other two are thriving...and I don't have a Harvard degree.
The only dumbass is you. The United States Postal Service receives tax money. Dumbass its a federal program. Dumbass, what do you think a stamp is? Its a tax dumbass. I guess next you'll say the VA doesn't receive tax dollars. Dumbass Obama fluffer.
I dont know why I am so amazed at peoples inability to think. The "Stamp" is a service ... not a tax. You ignore the fact that tax dollars do not fund operational expenses. Expenses at the USPS are reflected in the cost of postage, not our tax dollars.
Please educate yourself. Look at what a stamp is. Its a tax for services provided by taxpayer supported, federally owned and operated United States Postal Service. The FBI, CIA, Veteran's Hospital are all federal agency whose employees are paid with taxpayer dollars.
Its no wonder you worked as a Postal employee. You have no clue about anything your type.
For this and more educate yourself by reading "The United States Postal Service An American History 1775-2006." Its available at the USPS website. It is a very interesting book about Postal History Facts. It explains how the Postal Service is a government agency that recieves zero tax dollars. Just do research, I'm finished arguing.
The post office is an independent organization. I did some research and found I was wrong about the date. With the being said, the Postal Service has not received tax dollars since 1982. You obviously have been highly misinformed. Tax dollars do NOT pay the operational expenses of the Postal Service. That is the extent of the government's envolvement. If you dont like USPS, dont use it.
United States Postal Service is not an 'independent organization.' It is ran and paid for by the United States government, making it a federally operated system.
Please follow. The taxpayers pay for Postal workers to deliver their mail. The taxes we pay out of our checks goes to Uncle Sam who owns and operates the USPS.
I've dealt with some idiots before but you have taken the first place prize with your claims that tax dollars don't support the USPS.
Not one of your tax dollars was spent to support it. Go to UPS and spend 8 or 10 bucks to send a letter, see if I care. Apparently, you cannot argue with one that can not comprehend logic.
Again, its a federally owned and operated program. The federal government taxes its citizens to provide said services. The United States Postal Service, receives its money from tax payers. You can point to commissions, pagents whatever...you still are incorrect when you claim such bs. A stamp is a tax...research stamp tax and try again
@NCMan28025 Let me guess. You are snaggle-toothed, wear tattered flannel shirts, and refuse to watch any news other than FOX NEWS. You also think your hero, George D.W. I. Bush started the war in Iraq for revenge for Saddam Hussam's role in 9/11. Your ignorance is only surpassed by your self-righteousness.
@youpace Let me guess. You're an inbred liberal, living off the taxpayers and with your parents who watches MSNBC and your hero is a coke-head community organizer. By the way, you sound uneducated. Bush had to go through Congress to go into Iraq, Civics 101. Your ignorance is only surpassed by your dad's inability to pull out in time for you mom to swallow.
The dems just allowed postal service to not cover $4 billion in retirement health benefits for its employees. Although the retirement funds for the po are significant, the postal service is in shaky condition, and if it worsens it will become...another public liability. Sound familiar?
So how's the postal service doing barry? And how long is the fiscal duct tape and wire going to hold?
Please tell us how your financial record (and market obstruction) justifies you running health care for all.
Post office is being stupid if they cut Saturday mail delivery , the mail is already heavy on Monday's due to Sunday's mail sitting! Now they will have Saturday, Sunday and Monday's mail needing to hit the street so that means overtime Monday's and probably Tuesday's but they'll probably crack their whips as usual and say to hurry up more and be more unsafe out on the street so we can meet their unrealistic time table. Ohhhh wellll
@needavacation42 I have seen an insane documentary it is very interesting and informative and i believe everyone should watch it it is called "Slavery by Consent" search for it on youtube and watch it you will be glad you did, trust me it will leave you speechles.
The Democrats can't put UPS and FedEx out of business just to help their Post Office be more profitable............no one would get their packages ....would they..........But these Democrats WOULD shut down Blue Cross and Humana........on the basis of discrimination....................because the result would be that the poor would HAVE to use the worthless public plan.......and those who actually make a living would be able to afford superior health care.
The Government tried to put Federal Express out of business. They lost their court case. The Post Office keeps services from providing local delivery for cheap in NYC where you can deliver mail for lots less money than the post Office charges. That is because the post office makes money in NYC to cover the cost of high delivery in sparsely populated areas.
They would only be keeping their voting base happy and on the plantation. Its all about class warfare when dealing with Liberal/Progressives from the Jackass Party. Up next for Obama is immigration reform and then education reform. Wonder how this will go?
i keep hearing about people getting so upset by the trillion dollar pricetag ...where were all these american people when we went to iraq for no reason at all ...and there argument is ...(well they were trying to protect our freedoms) well if everyone in this country sick or dead from no healthcare there will be no country to protect lets get our priorities straight people
Liste carefully to the last part of his rant - he tells the EXACT reason why health insurance companies would go out of business - they can't compete with tax-paid option that is low cost.
OOPS! Doofus sounds like an idiot without his teleprompter - he's almost as horrible as joey biden! Keep it up bo - we are getting lots of laughs from you!
then why is he saying a government run healthcare would be better than the privater sector when the PROOF of other government run entiries have failed?
lets see medicade, medicare, social security all failed government entities. You now want them to deal with your insurance. And the option has about 3 -4 clauses which over time the insurance companies will not be able to sell. By the way where in the constitution did it say anyone was entiltled to have insurance?
it eventually does eliminate any other ourside source so it is a total takeover. With in 1 - 2 years top. By the way they took over the majority of banks and GM and what they took they are in complete control of. Which also keeps any company from competing because they can fund there end with endless supply of money. Also you shoud watch Glen Beck and see some of the things the media does not show you that you can find yourself on google. All the Czars that advise him.
Does anyone see that even Obama agrees that the goverment run post office is always having problems NOT FedEx or UPS.
So why would you want a government run health care? Yes it needs fixed and there are some ways to get it done. But not by a total takeover by government.
You see if doctors could get a tax write off for spending about a 1/3 of there time in clinics helping the poor, you would have more doctors willing to do it. Why is it that they cannot get that tax break?
without a teleprompter running, he is completely lost. Who could believe all these clouded lies. A lib-socialist, thats who. Hope DC doesn't run out of KoolAid
Blahblah Oblahblah. soaring, visionary speech gone, replaced by BORATORY where he occassionally tells the truth
everything government touches turns into shit. when will his columbia college records be released so we can read about his cloward-piven bake sales to help install marxist policies?
Do you hear that sound? Yeah that was the sound of the comment zooming way over your head. I know you couldn't see it, but it was there. If you wish to be informed try searching "Obama 57 states"...although he did say he didn't visit all of them, depending on how you want to count what he said there is either 58,59 or 60 according to the so called messiah. (Either the 1 left to go comment, the alaska and Hawaii remark, or the combination of those two)
Yes people. Let's listen to "PoliticsareBad" (works for BlueCross) or other YouTubers who work for other insurance companies. They are here to misslead you and they are doing it because their existence depends on it. And the suckers who believe that progress is bad are the ones who will pay the price. We are 29th in the world. We could be 10th or perhaps nr.1. And I think we should be because we can and because it's about our own health and our own life.
yeah or i'll guess we will have to go to mexico for healthcare..ask any canadian thats in their 50's and has cancer where they are getting treated, thats right in the US cuz they can't get it
Probably the only truth that has come from our President's own words. Thanks for showing us how bad an idea government run health care would be without private insurance!
Yeah, don't worry, gov't run enterprise is great, just look at the post office, "they're the one with the problems."
Let's see if I can understand this logic. So because of the problems with government run industry, that's proof we should vastly expand government control of our economy???
Not to mention the fact that everything government touches goes BANKRUPT! Social security, medicare (which will have $36 trill unfund liabilities in next 25yrs), even post office going broke.
The post office is projected to lose between 8 BILLION and 12 BILLION THIS YEAR ALONE. Wow...they cant deliver the mail and not lose money. What makes ANYONE think that they will be able to run health care? This is a crock.
I have to agree 100% with the President on this one. A government option would be a great, IF it is self-sustaining. The problem is that it will either be broke or too expensive in a short period of time.
I'd prefer to go back to how we were too. Life under Clinton was the most prosperous in American history. after 8 years of Bush I'm broke. thank god the liberals are back.
I can't find the quote now, but some idiot here just said something to the effect that the government plan would be free. First of all, NO, you are taxed so it isn't free. Second if no private companies can compete with a FREE government healthcare plan how could anyone that wanted to KEEP their current plan do that? Exactly. You can't keep your current plan because the government plan is "free" which will put them out of business. Wake up people.
I shouldve added that at least you waded through the NewBlackPantherParty members and actually voted.credit for that.most peeps seem to have more pressing matters on Election Day....
The exact thing we don't need is another government monopoly controlled by special interest groups. Don't worry Mr. President - we the people can handle our own money and decisions.
exactly, the post office is a government run monopoly, and fedex and UPS are limited. It is illegal to fully compete with the post office. Look up Lysander spooner.
Looks like this video was posted on Democrat Underground. All you can do is blame Bush for everything. How about that war he was going to get out... liar! How about Guantanamo... Cap and Trade that gives Goldman Sachs and GE the brokers rights... is ten time worse then Haliburton... but fuck tards like you that's different!
So to all you bleeders of the system. I don't want to pay for your fucking health care... cause your all fucked in head and nobody can afford to fix you!
So What I get from this clip is this.. First Obama is lying, the public option will become the "only" option, as stated on Pg 16 of HR3200 and Section 104 of HR676.
Aside from that he uses the USPS and FedEx/UPS as an example of how government can stimulate competition. Dumb ass doesn't realize USPS is government subsidized but still a private company. Aside from that he is saying "look at the crap the government offers, private companies are better". LOL. Double Think anybody?
Okay lets talk about the repubs War (Iraq) then. How many service men and women had to die? How many Iraqi civilians lost their lives? How many families are morning the deaths of their loved ones today? How many Trillions of dollars will be spent on this WAR by the time we are out of Iraq. Then tell us what we got from all of that. TWO SHOES thrown at our President. I didn't like Bush's foriegn policy agenda. But he was still an American President. Was Sadaam worth all of that?
Mattoda.. I think you need a history lesson. I didn't support Bush, and don't support Obama. i know them for the corporate puppets that they are. However, I will not let you make a false accusation. The republicans are not solely responsible for the Iraq debacle. Democrats voted for giving their powers of war declaration to the president, just as the republicans did. Since then they have voted consistently to fund it, even to this day!
I am Libertarian, btw, not part of the one party system.
Well.. That is because they are really one party, just too stupid to know history. LOL. The Democratic-Republican party rose up to challenge the federalist party. After defeating the federalist party they began in-fighting and split. The federalists, as you may know, believed in highly centralized power not just nationally but globally.Fast forward to 2009 and we have international people with "federalist" ideals controlling both parties at the top keeping us fighting while the country is looted
Purechaos2000: Did you vote for Ron Paul? I think your points are valid but if you voted for someone who had no chance of winning then you wasted your vote and essentially helped to get Obama elected. If that's the case then you're in no position to call me the stupid one.
Scroll back and read the posts. I was AGREEING with his point and there was absolutely no reason to call me stupid. What IS STUPID is wasting your vote and then complaining when you find you're stuck with a lemon, the greater of what you opine to be the two evils. There was only one alternative to Obama in this race, sadly Ron.Paul was not a forerunner. All those wasted votes helped to get Obama where he is. Reality bites just like I do when I'm called stupid for no reason.
Speak.. I voted for Paul in the primaries, and Bob Barr in the general. The reason I did that is because I could not in good conscience vote for either McCain or Obama. I don't believe in voting for someone to vote against the other guy.
Yeah.. I just don't go for voting against the other guy... I really woke up to this crap in 2004 when I found out Kerry and Bush were secret society buddies and good friends.. The whole WWE style fight of the extreme left dems and extreme right reps is just stupid to me anymore. Wrestling lost it's glamor when people found out it was rigged.. Same will happen here..
BTW.. The AMA and AARP are pulling back their endorsements of Obamacare. :P
Oh I see where.. I didn't call you stupid.. Hehehe.. You said "each party is as bad as the other".. I agreed and said "just too stupid to know history" meaning people who buy into the two parties, not you. :) Sorry for the ambiguity of the statement. Try reading it again but put "they" before "just too" and maybe that would make more sense. Sorry bout the confusion.
Obam's doing absolutely nothing different [despite his semantic games] in this "war" than Bush.
Having said that....What does this have to do with Obamacare? What does foreign policy and "war" have to do with socializing medicine in the US? This is nothing but a red herring.
Do you know of any country at any time in modern history where socialized medicine has been even modestly successful? No? Me either.
You can count on the post office claiming poverty during the current (2011) contract negotiations. It's all hot air. The post office will remain for many generations to come.

@eal1011 : That might help the post offices in the bigger cities, but where I'm from, we all drive privately owned vehicals.

UPS and FedEX have to provide superior performance.
okiewaker 1 year ago
@okiewaker -- except your argument is flawed it hasn't been "funded by the people" since the 1980's.
CarMoves 1 year ago
@okiewaker USPS used to be subsidized by taxpayers but it hasn't been for years. Know what you're talking about before you comment. UPS and FedEX are doing great because their employees care---you are right on that one. The post office hires wayyyyyyyy too many retired military who already earn a pension and could care less about the future of the post office. If the post office hired young, non-military retirees, you'd see the efficiency sky-rocket. Looking forward to that day.
sumdumfoo1 1 year ago
@sumdumfoo1 UPS doesnt care about their service . They Give your packages away to your neighbors if you are not home and they charge too much. The post office is by far and away the best way to go.
blaq7427 1 year ago
@sumdumfoo1 I think you should check your facts. While the post office doesn't directly get tax subsidies any more it still is deeply in debt. Last time I checked in Mid 2010 their debt was about 3.5 Billion. Where do they borrow their money from? The US Treasury. You think they will ever pay off that debt? No. So if they get a loan from the tax payers that they never will pay back it might as well be a government subsidy. The government uses many smoke an mirror tactics like this.

The Postal Service doesn't recieve tax dollars dumb ass. They haven't since the 70s.
francismccartney 2 years ago
The only dumbass is you. The United States Postal Service receives tax money. Dumbass its a federal program. Dumbass, what do you think a stamp is? Its a tax dumbass. I guess next you'll say the VA doesn't receive tax dollars. Dumbass Obama fluffer.
NCMan28025 2 years ago
I dont know why I am so amazed at peoples inability to think. The "Stamp" is a service ... not a tax. You ignore the fact that tax dollars do not fund operational expenses. Expenses at the USPS are reflected in the cost of postage, not our tax dollars.
francismccartney 2 years ago
Please educate yourself. Look at what a stamp is. Its a tax for services provided by taxpayer supported, federally owned and operated United States Postal Service. The FBI, CIA, Veteran's Hospital are all federal agency whose employees are paid with taxpayer dollars.
Its no wonder you worked as a Postal employee. You have no clue about anything your type.
NCMan28025 2 years ago
For this and more educate yourself by reading "The United States Postal Service An American History 1775-2006." Its available at the USPS website. It is a very interesting book about Postal History Facts. It explains how the Postal Service is a government agency that recieves zero tax dollars. Just do research, I'm finished arguing.
francismccartney 2 years ago
The post office is an independent organization. I did some research and found I was wrong about the date. With the being said, the Postal Service has not received tax dollars since 1982. You obviously have been highly misinformed. Tax dollars do NOT pay the operational expenses of the Postal Service. That is the extent of the government's envolvement. If you dont like USPS, dont use it.
francismccartney 2 years ago
United States Postal Service is not an 'independent organization.' It is ran and paid for by the United States government, making it a federally operated system.
Please follow. The taxpayers pay for Postal workers to deliver their mail. The taxes we pay out of our checks goes to Uncle Sam who owns and operates the USPS.
I've dealt with some idiots before but you have taken the first place prize with your claims that tax dollars don't support the USPS.
Product of a liberal education?
NCMan28025 2 years ago
.........It authorized the Postal Service to borrow
money from the general public and
phased out the general public service
subsidy, which the Postal Service ended
earlier than required, last accepting an
operational subsidy in 1982.
francismccartney 2 years ago
Not one of your tax dollars was spent to support it. Go to UPS and spend 8 or 10 bucks to send a letter, see if I care. Apparently, you cannot argue with one that can not comprehend logic.
francismccartney 2 years ago
If I spend $8 to $10 dollars, I'm taxed on that purchase. You have no logic and your claims are bullshit.
NCMan28025 2 years ago
Lets see if you can follow this: Finances and rates
The act established an independent
Postal Rate Commission of five members,
appointed by the U.S. President
with the advice and consent of the
U.S. Senate, to recommend postal rates
and mail classifications for adoption
by the Postal Service Governors...............
francismccartney 2 years ago
Again, its a federally owned and operated program. The federal government taxes its citizens to provide said services. The United States Postal Service, receives its money from tax payers. You can point to commissions, pagents whatever...you still are incorrect when you claim such bs. A stamp is a tax...research stamp tax and try again

I cannot argue with one that can not comprehend logic. Have a nice day.

catndryer 2 years ago
The Government tried to put Federal Express out of business. They lost their court case. The Post Office keeps services from providing local delivery for cheap in NYC where you can deliver mail for lots less money than the post Office charges. That is because the post office makes money in NYC to cover the cost of high delivery in sparsely populated areas.

lets see medicade, medicare, social security all failed government entities. You now want them to deal with your insurance. And the option has about 3 -4 clauses which over time the insurance companies will not be able to sell. By the way where in the constitution did it say anyone was entiltled to have insurance?
jimmyvreed 2 years ago
FORCING?? what don't you understand about the word OPTION...it's self defining.
I have no fear for the Health Ins. companies....I know they will be just fine.
They need some competition so their fees are reasonable & affordable.
Eliminating pre exisiting & droping people who become sick would be great things to get rid of with the established Insurance Companies.
The public option is what is needed.
susantr5 2 years ago
it eventually does eliminate any other ourside source so it is a total takeover. All the Czars that advise him.
jimmyvreed 2 years ago
@ Jimmy - it's not a total takeover; stop saying it is.
valiscari0t 2 years ago
Does anyone see that even Obama agrees that the goverment run post office is always having problems NOT FedEx or UPS.
So why would you want a government run health care? Yes it needs fixed and there are some ways to get it done. But not by a total takeover by government.
You see if doctors could get a tax write off for spending about a 1/3 of there time in clinics helping the poor, you would have more doctors willing to do it. Why is it that they cannot get that tax break?

There was only one alternative to Obama in this race, sadly Ron.Paul was not a forerunner. All those wasted votes helped to get Obama where he is. Reality bites just like I do when I'm called stupid for no reason.

Speak.. I voted for Paul in the primaries, and Bob Barr in the general. The reason I did that is because I could not in good conscience vote for either McCain or Obama. I don't believe in voting for someone to vote against the other guy.
I don't think I called you stupid though?

I agree, I myself voted for Chuck Baldwin, because I could not vote for either two main candidates.

Yeah.. I like Chuck too, but he was not on our ballot here. We had three choices in the general - McCain, Obama, Barr..

Well I'm glad I was mistaken! I was like ?????? :D
I wasn't all that keen on McCain either but ... well, you know the deal.

No? Me either.
