I love Rhona's solo album. But I don't think her voice or confidence went anywhere. I think the whole SoulFlower era was En Vogue stripping back on their diva persona. I think they intentionally chose to tone that album down vocally. They always switch it up. Cindy, Terry, and Rhona were all keeping the vocals relaxed.

But, I love Rhona's cover of "I Want to Know What Love Is". That girl can sing!!!!!

I also think that people have to realize that Rhona had to be introduced as a member of En Vogue and that is what SoulFlower did for me. It gave her a chance to shine; the WORLD knows that the other ladies in En Vogue can blow, but at the time, Rhona was a new face. She can more than hang with the funky divas. I honestly think Rhona challenges the girls to keep up. Maxine has gotten back in shape and is having fun again and they are truly giving it to you in live performances now!

Interesting---it was queers who helped EV reached to the incredible heights of fame. It was their vision who created all the sensual moves, hair, makeup and styling. And I know a few personally who worked behind EV in the beginning. But Ms Highboi according to the Shakesperean anecdote "the lady doth protest too loudly..." Dawn missed the opportunity of a lifetime. And sad the thinks the gravy train to stardom is pimping yourself and her abject poverty in a reality show.

I can see some delusional fans of Dawn have graced us. But they can not afford to sustain this drama--this off and on relationship that mirrors her personal relationship with her husband. I am fed-up after all these years. The ship has sailed for her solo career. She would never be the next Janet or Madonna. I love but she has to face the cold hard facts.  Her place and stepping stone to success was with EV---but she burned that bridged once she crossed it. I say no more.

In fact, they all look great. Terry has gained an ideal amount of womanly over the years. She looks incredible and she is glowing in this performance. I am pleasantly surprised at how much fun they are having. It took me a while to realize Rhona is a better team player than the wishy-washy Dawn. Just my humble opinion.

I totally agree with you body2078. Not only do they sound and look great, but they look happy! Like they are having fun! I love the exchange between Cindy and Terry at the end of "To Be Real" and then the laughter between Maxine and Rhona, right after Rhona finished her solo. I love these ladies and they deserve all the happiness in the world. They have been though a lot and just deserve to do what they love doing -singing and performing. Dramafree.

I have to give a lot of praise to Maxine for looking so incredible/fabulous. She is getting back to business. I am late to the game but Rhona is an incredible singer with a out of this world vibrato. She is a stable and positive addition to En Vogue. Dawn with her psychotic husband can carry on and leave En Vogue out of that mess.
