I use the S-curl spray too and it does leave my hair moisturized. I just can't seem to find anything better for my rough and tough 4c hair. Love your vid :)
The spray that I am talking about is not a texturizer but the activator that you can use if you have natural hair, curly hair, or a texturizer.. S-Curl does make a texturizer but it is clearly labled as a texturizer.

Love it! I saw them ole school products and was like hell yeaaa, lol. I will be picking up the curl activator and trying that out thats a new one for me. Pretty cool, thanks!!! Your hair is so beautiful by the way :)
ps i have used the queen helene cholesterol for years. i don't know if they changed the formula or what, but it has stopped working for me and my ends feel so parched and crunchy. I am going to look for that LeKair's Cholesterol conditioner...but why is it green? your camera has reverssd the words is it an aloe formula or something?I have only seen the peachy colored one.
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Luster's s-curl no drip. This is literally the only product (Besides wave nouveau and elasta qp mango butter) that keeps my hair moisturized! I love love love this stuff!
wow my dad has been using this stuff since i was very young and i am now 25, I HATE the smell of it. its like why does the first product that black ppl cud use back in the day that is all natural has to smell like that, I cant even discribe it, If it werent for the smell id use it, but i am to young and fly (lol) and have to be around to many ppl to walk around smelling like s curl! no ma'ma!
Ive been natural for abt ten yrs now and all the products Ive liked have always been expensive....but Ive found affordable products at butterbyjolez dot com they are very VERY GOOD!
Oh my gosh! I LOVE the S Curl. I seem to be allergic to a lot of things, but this works great. I went over the river and through the woods, trying products left and right. I was so glad when I found this. Your hair is pretty by the way.
Yeah that S-Curl is the bomb I don't use this one I use the texturizer styling spray an styling gel that comes in the silver & blue bottle. Those work great as well.
Thanks for the review. May I ask what is your hair type and how long do you leave the Le Kair in your hair. I used the deep conditioner in one for about 20 min and I didnt feel a difference. So I tried it again but this time I left it in for hours and I was really happy and had a problem keeping my hands out of my hair. b.) My Mom use to use Cholesterol back n da day.
@rebarenee7 My hair type is 4a/b mix but mostly 4b. I leave the Lekair in for 20-40 minutes and that works for me but I've started coloring my hair so I may need to bump up the time. Everyone's hair is different, I'm glad that you found what works for you!
As far as smells go...i really would rather a neutral or decent smell...but nothing overly perfumed.
My advice for the smell issue, is to add a Rose oil/water in your hair or something fruity smelling(natural) and it should contradict that product's smell
Yea these products are definitely "old school" and still work today i'm sure. Thanks for posting an honest video because i am an aspiring gal trying to become natural myself and I'm getting very confused on what to buy right now.
Hopefully, without spending hundreds of dollars when i can shop for quality/inexpensive products for my coarse hair....i think ill be 4a/4b when im 100% natural....for sure
Yes! I am a S curl lover also. I just went natural about a month ago and I was recommended to use it. I am 3c type as far as my hair so this does add the moisture that is needed plus is has all of the natural ingredients that we seek.
I don't like the smell either but it works so I second this!
Thanks a lot for sharing! You allowed me to remember the IC leave-in hair and scalp product. I had forgotten the label and love it so much. I'm beginning to transition to natural hair after several years of hesitation.
I like the fact the the products that you are showing are available and affordable.

@hipretty Yes, it is the aloe formula along with an additive to make it green but I still use it.

What's the difference from the no drip activator and the wave activator?
They come in the same bottle, but the bottle is a different color.
MrSaxmanJones 6 months ago
@MrSaxmanJones I've never used the wave activater so I don't know, sorry!
tulanip 6 months ago
@MrSaxmanJones wave activator is more of a gel like texture
MsOneofMany 6 months ago
@MrSaxmanJones
no drip is less watery. It has a hold and literally doesnt drip. It also has more glycerin than wave.

@CrownJewel32 I use Wave Nouveau on my girl's hair and it works wonders for them but doesn't work for me. I never liked Elasta QP.

Your hair is beautiful!! Based on this style, it looks more like a 4a (and maybe a little of 4b). You have a good bit of curl definition.
