Metal has an interesting glitch in 2-player mode. Typically, Metal is slower than Sonic and Shadow. However, on the forest stages, if you use Metal's B ability, he'll zoom right past them in the "u" shaped sections. Just don't use it while going through a loop. That = Epic Fail. XD

One problem with that: unlike Metal Sonic, Metal Knuckles doesn't appear in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Metal Sonic is a Multiplayer character.

In the Dreamcast version he appears in all of them (Except Route 101, Route 280, and Green Hill, and twice in White Jungle for some reason). In the Gamecube version he doesn't appear in any levels, although some of his old locations are marked with random rings.

wrong. my brother played SA2B and he saw big in the cutscene where shadow turns good. he ran right past amy. so hes not only in the dreamcast version. hes an easter egg in SA2B

That's because to play as Metal Sonic, you technically have to BE Shadow. Metal Sonic replaces Shadow, Amy replaces Sonic, Chaos replaces Rouge, Tikal replaces Knuckles, Light Chao replaces Tails and Dark Chao replaces Eggman.
