@Devilbat74 why? The Cartoon is what blew up, not the comic. Nobody cares about the comic because it was the cartoon and the movies most of us grew up with as kids. The comic is surprisingly dark and like a completely different franchise.

I appreciate the effort they put into this remake but the 3D is what really hurt it; the game was made for 2D. It doesn't look like the cartoon and the music they used was meh. Also, it was the SNES version people wanted, the arcade was just a quarter muncher

@Devilbat74 I don't think many people are unaware of that right now, but I can see why developers would not want to make a comic-based game. The comic was dark and violent but originally a tongue-in-cheek parody of then-popular comics; then it became successful enough for character development. Gamers would miss that subtlety, or at least developers think they woould. A comic-acurate game would be rated M, and adults don't want to play as anthropomorphic animals.

Even as a kid who only knew of the 1987 cartoon, I always remembered wishing the turtles would actually stab someone instead of just doing slapstick shit, and so I'd certainly buy a TMNT game with blood. But Turtles in Time should've been left as it was, including the great music.

@colltav ACtually to me 4 players is alot harder than anything else. Because with 4 players the number of enemies increase and their health is larger. Not to mention you will lose sight of your turtle at times because of everything going on and will likely get hit alot XD

Big props, cause kids today need to know exactly what was behind the success (at least in part) of this game in the first place. :) one thing i don't get is why they didn't use the "Konami All-Stars 1993 ~ Music Station of Dreams" versions of the old tracks for this remake.

Great game. I love the original music too. I like the part around 5:28 to 5:36 where all 4 turtles seemed to be rushing to get the last hit on baxter, but instead all got countered by his attack lol. Reminds me during my arcade days where we would compete with each other for the last hit on bosses in games like Captain Commando and Dungeons & Dragons, cus of the additional rewards haha.

Since Konami produced the original arcade and SNES games, it is likely they owned the rights to the soundtrack as well. When Ubisoft produced this game, they must have purchased at least some consent from Konami. Since the soundtrack of the original game was popular, it was likely very expensive as well. Perhaps the original soundtrack was prohibitively expensive to Ubisoft, so they decided to produce their own game music. I admit that the original soundtrack was much better though.

@Sheashay100 Exactly, I grew up obsessed with the 80s/90s Ninja Turtles. I mean I wanted to BE a ninja turtle. But when I got older I collected the mirage comics I was forbidden to read as a kid and fell in love all over again, and the 2k3 series found a great balance between those comics and the goofy old cartoon. The original show was great for the first six-episode season, and then it got irredeemably goofy. The newer show was much better at maintaining that mature-but-goofy vibe.

Yeah I edited in the video. But I believe you can put the tracks on the 360 but you have to switch each song manually if you go to another level.
