  • So what I got from this vid is you only have to be as smart as a baby to be in the AF.

  • psycosamatic g-force condition ...happens to the best of the pred pilots. Back to the spinning office chair g force tester for you.

  • stuuuupid!

  • that was great

  • Hewwwahh! I got schpeilcous in my connekitazoids! Baw haw haw!!!

  • Awesome

  • Awesome

  • It was kinda funny after he puked. "Blah! Woah."

  • Awesome!

  • Lol

  • Twelve people are Predator "pilots."

  • Win

  • Air Force still require officers to actually "fly" the things, but Army and Marines allow enlisted to fly and fire.

  • @meade352mxs

Warrant Officers can fly helicopters, but Officers fly either fixed or rotory Wing in all branches.

  • @HellHound1812 The Army has fixed wing WO pilots.

  • @meade352mxs That makes the Army and Marines more tech savvy than we are. Yep, enlisted airman are dumb as bricks and officers do all the real technical work(sarcastic).

Many airmen, particularly maintainers and operators, are trusted with working with multi-million dollar equipment. That's easily comparable to the cost of a UAV. I'll never understand how the enlisted soldier or marine can be trusted with a job the enlisted airman cannot.

  • @Agent1W Their drones are less sophisticated, smaller, intel only birds.

  • @mzmadmike They are less sophisticated because they don't have to deliver ordinance on targets, with the respective targeting equipment. Still, it's the same airframe. I bet you more than anything that as the AF see its, we airmen are unworthy to fly those lesser UAVs.

  • @Agent1W The MQ1 is the only one even close to a real airframe, and it's diesel powered. The Army keeps promising to fly it Real Soon Now but has not yet (it may be in the process now) The rest are glorified toys.

I've been Army and AF. I guarantee if weapon release is in the mission profile the Army will have an officer there pushing the button, even if an enlisted guy is steering it. So it's a moot point. The Army won't even let enlisted people run a small arms range without an officer.

  • @mzmadmike Actually, the Army allows UAV operators who have been properly trained to fire the AGM-114 Hellfire missiles from the Army UAVs. It was authorized for the OIF 07-09 deployment as well as the Weapons Testing that took place in 2008. (but it takes a lot of approvals just like the the Predator in order to fire it). And both the Warrior and the ERMP have been fielded have have combat experience.

  • @dmccarthy100 Haven't seen many Army UAV's in OEF (OIF has become OND). But there are a ton of MQ/RQ-1/9s in Afghanistan laying the law down every day with Hellfires.

  • @meade352mxs Very few Marine or Army drones have munitions, and an officer is required to authorize or effect weapon release. This is a DoD policy.

The AF avoids the idiocy of having one person fly and another direct by simply having one person do both.

You can just play a flight simulator game and get the same thrill. It's not like you're actually flying a plane. You're steering a TV screen.

  • @mzmadmike its funny that you would think that, because the Hunter, Warrior, and GrayEagle UAVs all have the capability to carry munitions and do regularly (not so much on the Hunter of late, but definitely the latter two). And I know first-hand that when weapons release is authorized, it is fired by ENLISTED, not Commissioned. It goes through the same channels but ultimately, its either a SSG or SFC that pushes the button, not a CAPT or MAJ, etc.

  • you can fly them as enlisted, think the MOS is 1U031, or something like that.

  • @mxviii AFSC, not MOS, and it depends on the mission profile if enlisted can operate it.

  • @mxviii The pilots are officers. However the sensor operators are enlisted. So basically it's an officer/enlisted crew.

  • hahahahahaha....awesome video!

  • Air Force - Beast

  • This is dedicated to a friend flying UAVs in a desert far away...

  • I just got a comment for the commenters, Why so serious?

  • Lol sorry but the barf sound was a fail

  • Those in the know would rather have Navy or Marine pilots on Oscar Mike, and I do know.

  • Comment removed

  • FederalRebel, you need to mellow out man. I am in the Air Force and so if the majority of my family, and I found this freaking hilarious. In fact they showed this video to my brother during his AFROTC orientation.

  • this is a disgrace! HOLY FUCKING SHIT! THE AIR FORCE IS SO MUCH MORE THAN YOU STUPID FAGGOT! JESUS CHRIST! HAVE SOME GOD DAMN RESPECT!

  • Yes this is true, but you dont have to add all the nasty stuff. Its just as much of a disgrace. Just some short humor, nothing intentionally serious im sure.

  • This is fuckin' genius. I'll subscribe to you, just because of this video :D

  • Or maybe you can be a chemtrail pilot like your dad.

  • are u makeing fun of my dad?

  • No, im making fun of the airforce.

  • The AirForce protects your ass...you should respect them you asshole....Not cool....

  • wow chill out there big fella. They showed this at AFROTC and thought it was funny. this isn't a big deal.

  • dude just a heads up, it was an Air Force Pilot class that made this video. Air Force pilots hate unmanned jets. Why the hell would they want to fly those when there are real jets. UAVs take jobs from pilots. So calm down

  • well actually im on a base with UAVs and the pilots do fly them. How do you think they operate?? by themselves??? yeah right

  • Actually, lower-enlisted soldiers fly them in the army. 96U is the MOS.

  • @besidemymind actually they fly them into T-walls... its actually quite funny

  • @TheHwrdhick

I bet. I have never seen that; I just work in the TOC coordinating their flight missions.

I would love to see that though.

  • That is a riot... even for a 19+ year Air Force Vet! (Especially enlisted...)

  • 20 years, 2 months enlisted..

  • lol

  • lolololol

  • That... was... A-W-E-S-0-M-E !!!
