I've been looking for this album for over 30 years, please give us the full version " I can't wait," and I remember a song called RAGTIME SUZY.... please spill some love over here
I still have this album (vinyl) and have been listening to it from time to tim esince the early 70's. It is hard to find and sounds like several bands of the time. BTO comes to mind on several of teh cuts. I don't really associate it too much with the original Cactus Band. It is just some good old rock and roll thats fun to listen to and inspires some nostolgia.
I ALWAYS wondered what this album sounded like, as it was almost impossible to find. I've heard all the previous Cactus albums but never Son of Cactus until now. I am not at all disappointed with this song.
Why Mike Pinera has made a living off of usurping bands and taking them onto the cliffs of deaths has always amazed me....this band was doomed to die a unknown. The original CACTUS with Day,McCarthy,Appice, and Bogert was the CACTUS...not this abortion...
@Welshbluesman Mike Pinera was also an amazing heavy rock guitarist . He deserves better recognition for his work - especially with Iron Butterfly (I.E, Butterfly Bleu)
rocker53zero,I love this and it sounds very familiar for some reason.Like something from my teen years! A loooong time ago x ♥ Thank you for sharing your obscure albums with me,so far I think I have loved everything you have sent ♥ Including the "sender' LOL! ♥

This ain't Cactus. The song's not bad but should've changed the band name.
