Everyone is saying the paddle shifters will be faster cause it shifts gears faster. That is true but only on straightaways and tracks. Things the paddle shifter can't achieve is footing techniques such as double clutch, heel n toe etc.

you're an idiot. "only on straightaways and tracks" well that pretty much covers everywhere you need to be fast. double clutching is useless in today's vehicles, and heel toe downshifting is just braking and rev matching. new trannies automatically rev match when they downshift. do some research before you post.

why do you say the gt-r has only been seen in silver. i have a magazine with it in orange on the cover. pretty sure its available in stick too. i remember reading about it being an option. this was a wile ago so they my have changed it. is it me or are a lot of new cars that r suppose to kick ass are not. gt-r being paddle shift, and same with r32 golf, and evoX . they put the word man in manual for a reason i'm sure. there really are no new cars out there that wow me.

the GT-R should perform just as well with the dual clutch paddle shifter. It's faster than a person can shift with a stick. One clutch releases, and at the same time, the next one engages for perfect rev-matching every time.

Well although it's not even close to the almighty Supra... Toyota does still have the Toyota Celica GTS. And beleive it or not in the GTS trim level you get VVTLi and anti-sway bars. It's not very powerful...only 181 hp, but there is quite a list of performance parts available from the dealer in their TRD catalog. Even a supercharger!
