  • This is awesome

  • Haha, looking back for the future. Japan never disappoints with new ideas.

  • omg totally brain death

  • Bonjour les gens de l'Arabie, je vous invite à écouter ma musique. Discografica chercher à me soutenir.

  • lol explosive phone

  • shitty

  • the device needs to be manufactured, distributed, etc...when you travel electricity is not available.. bleuuhhbleuuhbleuuuhhh

  • The only value I see here is, as the rep stated, for extended travel where electricity is not available to recharge the device.

It's arguably worse for the environment because the device needs to be manufactured, distributed, etc... If you want something better for the environment, plug your phone into the wall and lets focus on nuclear and geothermal energy generation to power the nation's grid.

  • @robvh2 yes because nuclear power is way good for the environment

  • I'm detecting sarcasm. I suggest you get informed on the matter instead of posting ignorant comments on a public forum.

France gets 80% of its electricity from nuclear power yet I don't see any glowing Frenchmen or hear of Chernobyls every year (or ever for that matter).

Modern nuclear technology is very safe, uses a natural energy source, and produce waste which can now be processed and reused. There's very little impact on the environment compared to other generation methods.

  • Is it making any pollution ????

  • ETHANOL IS PLANT BASE PEOPLE!!! THAT MAKES IT MORE RENEWABLE!!

6 MONTHS OF BATTERY LIFE!? THATS FANTISTIC!

Evenif your celly was flame thrower it wouldnt last long!

  • sounds scary

  • Witricity is better.

  • this is stupid

  • This one spells disaster all over it.

Wait until the cell leaks, or a children gets poisoned by carbon dioxide (i.e. use the phone in bed) or even worse it catches fire.

Not to mention the airlines allowing a fuel cell onto a plane will be something like mission impossible.

Nah, this is going to stay only a prototype.

  • too bad it doesn't work on nuclear material.

  • this would be a great use for spreading bio ethanol the world, which still isn't so common these days

  • this is great for the envirment ;)

  • yay just what we need to make less things run on battery while we still are running out of fuel why don't these same engine res just make more things work on battery or at least make batteries last for longer =D

  • 3rd comment bahs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • now the cell phones use gasoline ???

  • hahahahah good one

  • I cant wait to see this type of technology for laptops and netbooks as well!
