  • These guys are top class, I trained with them last month on one of my visits to Cebu, trust me they are much faster than that, they slowed it down for demo purposes.

Carin Doce Pares is one of theold school styles tried and tested in actual fights.

    More power to them.

  • Any doce pares in Manila? Can someone tell me the club? I want to go and spar with them, headgear only.

  • tournament fights don't look exactly like the theoritical demo. But they sure are effective stick fighting techniques. The tournament I saw, they wear protective padding. But I was told that the old days when Cacoy was fighting they didn't have protective equipment and fights last only around a minuite always with blood or fractured fingers in the end.

  • lol ... they block to the hits, they don't hit the target (and let the block happen) ...

  • his trying to catch a fly!!

  • lol

  • Crazy. I can't move that fast. I was trying to figure out how the stick flew out of that one guy's hand. It went pretty far for a block and counter.

  • Nako, saan ang sound? Oh well. It's cool i guess.

  • lol! akpbaruk

  • Cacoy Doce Pares offers summer training everyone who are interested in Learning with the true Grandmasters of Eskrima, the legendary Cacoy Canete. feel free to visit us at C. Padilla sts. Cebu City. See you there!!!

  • AKP RULES naa sad bisaya wat d fuck..

  • I pity the fool that TRIES to mug this guy!

  • He sure did beat the shit out of that air!

But seriously, thats some sickass shit.

  • maayo unta kung dunay summer program ani aronmaka tuon ko.

  • naa summer program ang club pwede raka ag2 for more info.

  • however, i am not sure about the phillipines, but i dont really know of an account, when a family takes a family's money in pakistan. I hope you get out of the poverty and help your people.

    ps: excellent video demonstrating escrima.

  • The phillipines is a very corrupt, and dangerous country, much like pakistan. The heart of the people is good, but due to the sheer poverty, they have to survive, the poverty is non like in other countries, the poverty is what creates the chaos,, corruption and danger of peoples fearlessness to do anything. However, i am proud of my roots.

  • if you're gonna talk about pilitics and stuff....you came to the wrong page! we are talking about filipino martial arts here...do you see what the video intend to show?

  • Corrupt, yea I guess. Dangerous. NO! Read the comment below you.

  • dude tht guy could kill me without even tying lol

  • this guy definitely got some wicked skills...i wish i could have those moves someday!....btw, are you guys under cacoy's group or diony's group?

  • cAn you send me some information?

  • man it feels so good to know that my race has a very cool martial art. i wanna learn eskrima so bad. i found two metal rods and try to learn eskrima but bleh.

  • I'm thinking exactly the same way... i didn't know anything about this until the other day when our capoeira teacher started to teach us some of the basics... i'm hooked already

  • yeah u can learn by doing mordern arnis its very simalar

  • i wan to learn can any one help me out seriously

  • are you really interested in this kind of martial arts? clubs in this craft are scattered all over the philippines but the best club ever is in cebu: sto.nino village, banilad, cebu city. I went there.

  • eskrima is kick ass we practice some of the basics of it at my Karate studio ITS SO MUCH FUN :D i wish i could find an Eskrima studio

  • I like using the dagger better. nag try man ko og use og sword pero sakit kay i cut my self :p

  • man, i dont wanna fight wit that guy, i would get killed even if i have a knife

  • this is one of those few moments i'm actually proud to be a filipino

  • Wow, you don't like being Filipino?

  • after seeing so many poor kids begging for money in the philippines and my own family betraying their own family so many times for money to survive... sometimes i just can't help but feel ashamed to actually have some relation to that place... the economy is so bad there... it brings out the worst in people...

  • So you're ashamed of your people being poor? Why not help your fellow Filipino...As for the family deal, my family has a similar situation, but white people have that too to deal with...So in short, be proud of who you are.

  • ok you totally missed the point. the economy there is so bad that is forces people to do low things. THAT's why i'm ashamed. not because my family is poor. of course we help our family. we send them a portion of our income every month but sometimes that's not enough so they have to stoop down and do low things to survive.

  • Never feel ashamed of who you are. I am filipino myself and have seen the children on the streets of manila pouring their hands out for money, but is it their own fault its become like this? no. Nonetheless we cant do much at all to atone for the economy, with a weak government and fragile structures of the past due from war & corruption.

  • But only thing we can do is in time, with a lot of faith and cooperation with a stronger system. someday the Philippines will again resemble the picture my mother told me from her childhood...

  • also before i forget, read up on the Philippines alittle more, and understand its position in the world and its background before talking about the worst of our own people :P

  • with how corrupted everything is over there i can't say i'm so sure that the phillipines will become prosperous and suitable any time soon but that would be nice.

  • its a martial art tht doens tmeant tht there country is corrupt because they have a brutal but awsome martial art

  • you obviously missed my other posts. i wasn't talking about the martial arts.

  • why r u talking about the frigging economy and shit

  • because it affects my family

you know what? forget it. trying to make everyone who comes by this vid to understand is too much trouble and i gain nothing from it.

  • it can change fast if the whole government change from national to federal. it can help reduce corruption and industry to boom. philippnes aint so bad, you just think it is, go to south america, their government might have more money but the people there suffer more than you filipinos do.

  • wrong buddy, federalism can only turn this country worse. i mean, what are you going to do with those provinces which had low income are you just going to ignore them?

  • some music would be nice, great vid though

  • awesome!

  • beautiful

  • this is one of the best videos Ive seen on Arnis

  • Nice
