@darrarhoswen Are you being serious right now? Why on earth would you let something that insignificant bother you? If you get this upset over something like that, life is going to be hard for you.
I've loved this guy's voice since I first heard it in the 50's. The songs are timeless and just as wonderful as when I first heard them,so many years ago.
First time I ever heard this song was from the TV Show "Northern Exposer". That show was great for introducing plenty of this type of music to a younger generation who most likely never would have had the oppurtunity to hear it.
I love all the crooners from the day. Great musicians and entertainers. Frank, Dean, Sammy, Nat, Billy, Bing, Ella, Julie, Lena...on and on. I dont have to choose, I can enjoy them all.
nat, you got it all wrong, at 73 i still love you as much as i did when i was 20. age means nothing when it comes to music and dreams. i bet you are still dazzling them up there in the clouds...ab weimer, you remember me, big guy with a flat top!

Stuff Smith on violin and John Collins on guitar. Two fine jazz sidemen from the1940's and 1950's. Cole turns a rather typical song musically (although with nice lyrics) into something special. The phrasing is exquisite.
Who played the violin and who also played the guitar on this recording ?? And who originally wriote the song ? The arrangement is really incredibly brilliant..It has all these very bluesey/jazzy/country leanings..
@NaturVita, Nat is my number 1 favorite vocalist (vocalist, not to be confused with a singer, beyonce is a singer, Nat, Sinatra, Eckstine, Williams, Hartman, and the greatest of them all LOUIS, all approach the mic as musicians, Sinatra is one of my favorites, and is most certainly a musical singer or vocalist of the highest level, along with those I mentioned. I think it is impossible to put one over the other, like feminine beauty. I'm glad there are people like me who even care-made my day
Although I'd had the recording among my collection, I didn't know it, and didn't learn of this song until I heard it used in a movie, and now even the movie title escapes me.
Excellent song. Thanks for sharing, millsbrothers, along with your other excellent vids.
yeah. exactly. "whoo-enn ... ". Nat's phrasing is just incredible. He doesn't seem to have that much vocal range, but he does more with what he has than almost anyone.
I'm sorry, but this guy is one of the giants. Unreal.
No question.

Just when i thought that Nat could not get any better. His genius is almost scary.
The violin, the arrangement, and Nat has blown me totally.

The jazz fiddle is played by "Stuff" Smith. I own this CD and play it all the time. One of my favorites.
