This is so clearly meant for Joel, this was right after he left, plus it would have made more sense since Joel was a janitor originally, Mike was a temp, still funny though
@customcartoons It has nothing to do with Joe the Plumber. You are no doubt too young to remember some old (1960's) Comet commercials, starring Jane Withers as Josephine the Plumber. Google her for a visual.
@roguepeal1 Thank you for the trivia. :) At first, I thought the Rep. Party must have been completely forgetful in dubbing Joe the Plumber, but according to Wikipedia, his middle name, at least, is Joe (Joseph). Maybe McCain was actually thinking back to the old commercials when he coined (supposedly) the nickname...
I love this song.:D I actually worked as a janitor for a short while and found it to be a fun job. Always something to do and good, long coffee-breaks.:-)
I am a janitor at my old high schoo, i find this so funny, but i make 18.50 an hour and have great benifits. I will retire Making 39000 a year. Whats the joke.
I am not a janitor! We are called Custodians now lol. I am a high school custodian and I played this for my whole crew we got some good laughs out of it.
my heart is out to him.mike is ok not as good as joel but i just want to say to mike and all the janitors out there"i love you all.thanks for keeping us clean
After Joel leaves they change the theme (obviously) and that's Mike singing. I don't know, but it was probably Joel originally (can't find any info about that).
I don't know... Joel may have been a janitor/custodian or whatever, but there is probably a significant difference between polishing swiches at a satellite loading bay and mopping up vomit at a school.
The janitor at my high school was the cool guy everybody could talk to, not someone who was pitied or under appreciated.
I think it has to do with your attitude: every job can have dignity if you stay positive, and this guy did.

LOVE THIS SONG SO CATCHY

This song is pretty true in some aspects... I mean, it's odd how the janitors always got more respect than the teachers in the schools I went to...
Then again, we were blessed with wise, sagacious janitors.

don't think the guys were making fun of the salary, but rather the occupational duties.
even then i would never take it to heart, they are just filling air-time
