  • The janitor at my high school was the cool guy everybody could talk to, not someone who was pitied or under appreciated.

I think it has to do with your attitude: every job can have dignity if you stay positive, and this guy did.

  • LOVE THIS SONG SO CATCHY

  • This song is pretty true in some aspects... I mean, it's odd how the janitors always got more respect than the teachers in the schools I went to...

Then again, we were blessed with wise, sagacious janitors.

  • im offended =(

  • LOL..... I -3 janitors

  • mst3k is the definition of epic win!

  • This is so clearly meant for Joel, this was right after he left, plus it would have made more sense since Joel was a janitor originally, Mike was a temp, still funny though

  • @dididiiproductions I never though of that, but you're so right!

  • I hope you liked our presentation,

    Now back to Deep Thirteeeeeeeen,

    What do you think, sirs?

  • It'd be great to hear Neil Flynn sing this.

  • once dated Josephine the Plumber... is this a reference to Joe the Plumber? I thought was waay before Joe's 15 mins...o_O

  • @customcartoons It has nothing to do with Joe the Plumber. You are no doubt too young to remember some old (1960's) Comet commercials, starring Jane Withers as Josephine the Plumber. Google her for a visual.

  • @roguepeal1 Thank you for the trivia. :) At first, I thought the Rep. Party must have been completely forgetful in dubbing Joe the Plumber, but according to Wikipedia, his middle name, at least, is Joe (Joseph). Maybe McCain was actually thinking back to the old commercials when he coined (supposedly) the nickname...

  • @customcartoons Maybe Sarah Palin is a fan lol

  • SO touching. ;_;

  • Oh my god...that was AMAZING! I didn't know Mike could sing so well! Unless he was somehow exaggerating or something...

the song reminded me of the food song from "Oliver"

  • I love this song.:D I actually worked as a janitor for a short while and found it to be a fun job. Always something to do and good, long coffee-breaks.:-)

  • don't think the guys were making fun of the salary, but rather the occupational duties.

even then i would never take it to heart, they are just filling air-time

  • I am a janitor at my old high schoo, i find this so funny, but i make 18.50 an hour and have great benifits. I will retire Making 39000 a year. Whats the joke.

  • he cleans up the puke at your school.....lol!

  • Mike is awesome!!!

  • I DIDN'T STEAL NO BIKER, NEITHER!

  • the janitor song-the minimum wage anthem. plus you dont look deranged enough to be one Mike.

  • OH god!!! I HATE "Teenage Stargeler"!!!!!!

  • I never new he dated joesephene the plumber.

  • hmmm... maybe they got the idea for the Janitor in scrubs from this? they definatly have a musical episode

  • you honestly think thats a possablity? HA! the janitor from Scrubs and this aren't related in the least.

  • This was about ten or fifteen years before Scrubs.

  • =D one of the MST3K's best songs, ever!

  • I am not a janitor! We are called Custodians now lol. I am a high school custodian and I played this for my whole crew we got some good laughs out of it.

  • The Gateway Gators love you Walt!! Damn good janitor!!

  • irony of ironies, Joel should have sung this...he was a janitor at Gizmonic Inst, right?

  • To all the janitor's of all my previous/current school's: Thank you.

  • sniff sniff, janitors rule.mike is better in my mind now because of this song

  • my heart is out to him.mike is ok not as good as joel but i just want to say to mike and all the janitors out there"i love you all.thanks for keeping us clean

  • ya know i dont like mike but this is a realy good song and even i,a die hard joel fan ,have to admit he is a good singer.a very good singer

  • mike for president!!! who's with me?!

  • He's the best Republican I know! Sure, why not?

  • @Tareltonlives also he has the endorsement of josephine the plumber! (yeah, yeah, I know, totally unrelated).

  • Mike could have been a cook at TGIF's. Oh, wait... he was!

  • Mike could have been a doctor, or an engineer or something. The guy is talented.

  • God, I love Mike.

  • I like to hear Mike sing.He should do a CD.

  • One of my favorite songs in the whole series. Awesome upload, man!

  • I think it's Joel singing the theme actually..

  • It depended on who was hosting the show at the time.

  • i think its both of them

except for the ktma season that just joel

cause it sounds like two people singing

  • After Joel leaves they change the theme (obviously) and that's Mike singing. I don't know, but it was probably Joel originally (can't find any info about that).

  • I don't know... Joel may have been a janitor/custodian or whatever, but there is probably a significant difference between polishing swiches at a satellite loading bay and mopping up vomit at a school.

  • Yeah, you know that's him singing the opening song?

  • I don't know why, but I really enjoy Mike's singing. He's not half bad.
