Listen closely to what he says,no empire building,a strong national defense, dont have our troops spread over 120 nations bring them home and protect the homeland,we cause more terrorism with our current foreign policy because they object to us occupying their lands the way we would object to them occupying our lands its called blowback, unintended consequences to our meddling in their affairs as we have the habit of doing.

This is the truth and the difference between Ron Paul and all other candidates, Don't let others be blind to it. We need to push this hard into all corners of the internet and through our communities.
The Gravel people should just fight for Freedom and Liberty, join The Ron Paul Revolution,.. it has a better chance and we both want the same. Patriots United.
I can't believe people actually believe hillary and obama are against the war in Iraq. With 70 percent of americans against the war in iraq, how is it that we will end up choosing from the lesser of two evils that both support the war in iraq and the military industrial complex
Ron Paul Money Bomb January 10th!! Huckabee is trying to raise 1 million by this date! Lets show them who the peoples choice is for President. Now is the time to take Paul to new heights! January 10th Money Bomb!!!
this is nonsense. Dennis kucinich and Mike Gravel are just as anti war as Ron Paul. In fact Dennis has more balls because he's called for impeachment. I love Ron and he's got my support but please lets be honest about Dennis and Mike. Divide and conquer is going to leave us all with RFID chips in our asses because we are missing the big picture.
Bring our troops home! Think of how many more will die even if it takes untill 2013! Ron Paul is the only one! Why does the media no longer speak about the war? Last year we lost more US troops then any other year! Ron Paul 2008!
Typical Ron Paul supporters! I predicted a 37% win for Barack in Iowa. I will predict an even bigger win in NH at 52%.
Ron supporters join us for CHANGE...
Funny how everyone is now jumping on the wagon of change, but some wanna change the driver... That's not how things should work. Obama is the change candidate! I reserve myself of attacks from U RP supporters, and respectly invite U to join the Obama supporters for real change!
Obama talks of change to sound different but has no platform other than the same old socialist tripe the dems have been foisting for years. Ron Paul's principled plan to save america has not changed in 20 years.
It's better to be united, smarter fools and vote for Obama! Obama has been right on the money all along. In the beginning of 2007, when he spoke about change, everybody went on chanting about naivity. Speaking out about Musharraf in Pakistan, everybody was talking about irresponsibility. Now, in 2008, Obama is no longer naive (since everybody is talking about change now), but he's talking about it just to sound different? What I see, is a whole lot of people standing up for change!
U know that Barack has been against this war from the start right? He went on and demonstrated (even when it wasn't popular) against it! What was Ron Paul doing then? As a presidential candidate, saying that U promise to have ALL (Wasn't it the question?) troops out by 2013 (in 2007) is NOT a smart thing to say! But what he has pledged to do, is to start off with a withdrawal as soon as he takes office!
"On Iraq, on paper, there's not as much difference, I think, between the Bush administration and a Kerry administration as there would have been a year ago. There's not that much difference between my position and George Bush's position at this stage. The difference, in my mind, is who's in a position to execute." -Barak Omaba
I'm not a Republican. Such an accusation demonstrates your blind party loyalty.
Obama is an AIPAC sycophant who was against the cease fire when Israel invaded Lebanon (again). He said not a word about the prisoners Israel refuses to release from the last war. Not that I care to take sides in that conflict, but what on earth do you expect to get with Obama?!
He's a shill for the neocons, dressed in antiwar clothing. He's an empty suit with a FOR SALE sign on his head. Do some fucking research!
I've done my research!!! And I also know that Obama stood up and demonstrates against the Iraq war when U and probably many others here were drewling over Bush's show of strength. Where was Ron Paul then? Where was he when it wasn't popular? Why does he bring his agenda only when he's running? Last time i checked he was on a libert. ballot prior to this bid! I never called U a repub. I called out on Ur style of quoting!
2) Obama "demonstrates against the Iraq war" (He did no such thing. He voted for every Iraq wear funding bill, in fact)
3) Ron Paul made an impassioned speech against the War before it began on the House floor! I remember him trying to force a vote on declaring war on Iraq!
4) Ron was a Republican congressman prior to the Iraq war (else how could the above have happened).
Obama demonstrated against the war! U can find the most famous speech that he made back then here on youtube! I have no doubt that RP was against the Iraq war, but I question his commitment back then! I would be happy to bet with U on the point 2)
His commitment in 2002 is not only unimpeachable, he did the most of ANY politician to try to steer us away from the war path!!!
Here are two speeches he made on the House floor in 2002:
youtube(.)com/watch?v=PLV7zDhKzDY
Not only did he vote against the war and against every FUNDING BILL for the war (which Obama voted FOR), he tried to make Congress accountable for the war by forcing a vote on declaring war. His colleagues weren't pleased.
Anyway... I really hope that U and many other RP supporters would at least consider joining the Obama movement, and take part in changing the course of the country...
I'm not so gullible. Obama is a smooth-talker with absolutely no substance. Someone nailed him when he said: "It's as if I were to ask him if I could borrow his extra umbrella because it's raining outside, and he were to passionately talk about the need for it to stop raining"
Ron also wrote prolifically on the subject of Bush and the neocons before neocon was a household term. He wrote and gave speeches many times prior to the Iraq war on where this will all lead, and he's been prophetic!
Hell, even back in December 2001 he warned we were on a war path to Iraq!
lewrockwell(.)com/orig/paul7.html
And again in March (paul16.html) he was PLEADING with us to pay attention and stop this war before it started!
Obama never mentioned any attacks on Iran or Pakistan. Only terrorists residing in the borders bethween Afghanistan and Pakistan! On Iran, he never mentioned attacksm he posed a rethorical question. Please stop posing things out of context RP supporters!
this comment was made 3 years ago. ron paul predicted obama would change nothing 3 years ago. do you still stand by this? i think its pretty clear that as far as foreign policy and the economy are concerned obama has made no change.
@Rep0X : So much for "change" - I'm glad I didn't fall into the Obama hype like so many unfortunate souls did. I'm supporting Ron Paul in 2012. For those who want real change, it's time we finally get it right.
The vocabulary that the Democrats are using is the same made-up "war on terror" stuff that Bush/Cheney invented and sold to the mainstream media. If you're against the war in Iraq and you're planning to vote for one of the mainstream Democratic candidates, you should know that a REAL anti-war candidate slipped in among the Republican frontrunners.
Now is the time for us all to make sure we're eligible to vote in the REPUBLICAN primaries and give him that extra nudge to win the nomination.
Was that actually Ron Paul's response to that particular question? The audo sounds different than all the other responses.
The other candidates cowardly pick the answer that appears prudent. Ron Paul is the only candidate who has courage to say the right thing from the start.
