The predictive would be non-moving backgrounds, whereas the key frame could be the action within the frame, since it is split into these two types of frames it is possible for the predictive frame to go on just fine while the key frames are messed up due to lost data beyond what error correction can fix.

@deadreck024 it is because everything else isn't moving as much. I don't know how it works exactly, but video compression is done to reduce a video's file size. Part of the how it does this is by trying to guess the motion of parts of the video to try to re-use bits that it can rather than using an entirely new image for each frame. The stuff that isn't moving seemingly isn't affected as much, but you can see artifacts left over from his hands arround the the static graphics if you look closely.

@deadreck024 it is because everything else isn't moving as much. I don't know how it works exactly, but video compression is done to reduce a video's file size. Part of the how it does this is by trying to guess the motion of parts of the video to try to re-use bits that it can rather than using an entirely new image for each frame. The stuff that isn't moving seemingly isn't affected as much, but you can see artifacts left over from his hands arround the the static graphics if you look closely.

lol I think the point of posting this was how nothing else gets distorted on the screen EXCEPT the actual human... his hands and his face get distorted even his tie, yet the text and stuff are perfect... I don't know how to explain it but it has to do with the actual movement... if the logos and text on the screen were moving the whole time too they will get distorted as well, it has to do with like the rendering of the video data or something like that. Matrix dont make mistakes like this lol.
