  • How long did it take Benny and Gang to go from "Drawing Board to the Telly"?!?!

  • Bio The Benny Hill Story (for sale at amazon) showed Hill considered better than Monty Python by station WOR! WLVI TV Channel 56 ran both shows and advertised Hilla s better. Current Biography 1983 showed Hill as the funniest man in the whole UK!

  • Ha ha ha if marriage gets to that point....Ha ha ha Benny Hill: guaranteed laughter.

  • A genius!!!!!!

  • Did you know Benny Hill was in the movie chitty chitty bang bang as the toy maker?

  • just too funny....!!!!!

Benny you are truly awesome !!!!!

  • The master of comedy. Benny Hill was just brilliant. And the women on his shows were fit as hell.

  • fit as hell?? what does that mean?

  • Sorry if this saying is confusing. Fit as hell is a strange saying us English people use. Its a compliment meaning they are good looking sexy beautifull women. Why on earth the word hell can be used in these terms i dont know but if a woman is fit she gets us men going and the women on this show used to get me going when i watched them. I hope this explains the saying "fit as hell" without sounding sexist.

  • ah, ok. Now that you explain that you're English, it makes more sense!

Had somebody from North America said it, then eyes would have rolled!

    Cheers.

  • putain je l'ai vu cette semaine j'étais mort de rire ce type était trop fort

  • hahahah I can't stop laughing... LOL

  • Niether can I

  • bwahahah!!! I love how he kicks his wife!!

  • Benny at his best!

  • 3:33 lol :D

  • 3:24 was that John Travolta?

  • Yes it was. But don't think "Benny Hill was a Scientologist" or anything. LOL.

  • lol dang i didnt know he was there in benny hill time

  • The funny thing was, they used a picture of Travolta from "Grease" in a sketch that was a takeoff of "Saturday Night Fever." And it was only the picture; Travolta himself never made any guest appearances on "TBHS."

  • lol i didnt know that either it just caught my eye

  • 3:00 FUNNY!!!!!!!

  • LoL Benny was such a perv, ha ha

  • great!

  • Timeless...

  • FUNNY

  • still funny after all this time....lol

  • (LOL) slippingintothree

  • STRAIGHT UP FREAK

  • This is alllll just classic greatness....I wish I could find the scene where he's a waiter on the cruise ship and goes through and swipes all the table clothes off the tables and then a minute later it shows him in reverse putting them back on lol

  • LOL, he kicks her and then pretends to sleepwalk!

  • is a slow version of the rasputin of boney m

  • what is the song at 04:28 ?

  • I wanna know this since 1993...

  • Besides being funny he was a master of inuendo, thought his shows were required viewing

  • When I lay in bed at night, I have this tune running through my head.

  • lawl, who plays runescape?

  • This cracks me up!!! I miss the old Benny Hill reruns and wish they would bring them back to American TV!!! I especially liked the Benny Hill episodes from the 60s and 70s! They were the best. It is hard to believe he has been gone since 1992. He was so funny.

  • We miss his shows here on New York television!

  • gimmie that thing was another song used by Benny by Dr hook

  • Hilarious

  • I can't get enough of this lad,so simple pure straight humor, love it.

  • hello someone knows the song from this video???? I search for years. please help me thanks in advance

  • You mean the song in the Disco?

    Boney M. - Rasputin

  • listen to the noise when the guy in the picture pulls the chain watch in his pocket lol

  • J'adore la musique entre 2:13 et 3:01.

  • aguante benny hill hijos de puta

  • This was called "Friday Night Fever" and is a true BH classic. I love these parodies of movies and television shows he did. Thanks for posting :)

  • they dont have anything remotely this entertaining anymore brothers

  • maitre rip

  • How many other guys my age snuck into the living room at midnight to watch this show when they were teenagers in the hopes of seeing a boob? Good days!

  • hahaha

  • There was a LOT of girl nudity on WUTV in the 80s when Benny was on the job! He sure got sexy chicks ...

Remember the three girls taking a shower outside, and he's whomping the rug with a stick, then goes WHOMPWHOMPWHOMPWHOMP when the girls' towels fall down? LOL!

  • That was from an Australian-made special, "Benny Hill Down Under," which was the only one of his shows to have any outright nudity.

  • God bless the Australians, at least they're not so uptight about nudity.

  • That slapping he did to many of the actors was one of the things that made me laugh the most!! Used to do that slapping on the head on my brother and sister, we always had a laugh with it.

  • Yes, I know he was married to at least one of the "Hill's Angels", those dancers. :)

  • Actually Winter, Benny never married. He did propose twice but was turned down both times.

  • Benny was not gay, (doesn`t matter though)

he tried to marry several of the beautiful models that he worked with..

    A wonderful British comedian

  • That girl on the right @ 4:48-4:49... <3<3

  • She IS a beauty ... I've seen her in some other Benny stuff. Wonder who she was?

  • The one on the right is Victoria Shellard; this was her only "TBHS" appearance (Dec. 26, 1978). Can't make out the one on the left, though.

  • Actually I think Wikipedia reported that Mr. Hill in reallife proposed to two women in his life and that they boht turned him down. He wasn't sinfully gay (New Testament Romans 1:21-27)

  • Benny Hill was advertised as even funnier than Monty Python by a UHF station (WLVI TV Channel 56 in Cambridge, MA) that ran both his show and Python!

  • I think Benny Hill crushed, Monty Python!!!!!

  • Actually, I think they're both good. Benny Hill let the audiance use their eyes only. Monty Python used both audio and video, and had this slower kind of pace.

Point: same genres, different made, and equally good.

  • It's all about subjectivity. I might actually try watching some Python, maybe I will learn to appreciate them.

  • In the all-important TV ratings when each originally aired in Britain, Mr. Hill indeed had the edge over the Pythons - by an average ratio of about 4 or 1. (And I checked the ratings figures in one of my trips to London in the past.)

  • That is really interesting, I did not know that.

  • Benny Hill was indeed funnier than Monty Python. He was more of a pro and his humour clicked more than theirs!!! I agree with the tv station WLVI on this one!!

  • 5:35-5:40 Di Di Di...Di Di Di Di...Da Da Dum...Da Da Da Dum. Opens the curtain Bam! A brick wall. Too funny.

  • "5:35-5:40 Di Di Di...Di Di Di Di...Da Da Dum...Da Da Da Dum. Opens the curtain Bam! A brick wall. Too funny."

It's funny until it happens to YOU! LOL

  • I love how he kicks his wife in the butt out of frustration.

  • One of my faves from Benny!

    He is sorely missed!

  • haha... my dad made me watch this when i was 5 years old... i'm 18 now and still laugh to this day!!!

  • +1,

    Russia.

  • One of the greatest comic in the wordl

    A fan from Italy

  • benny hill is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!

    :D

  • espectacular

  • I will forever enjoy BENNY HILL!!!! God Blessed Him!

  • jajajajaja...excellent!!

  • What a great entertainment :D LOL

    Benny Hill rules!!!!!

  • So "simple" but so effektive fun!! I love his sometimes crappy-tricks, or crappy effects!! And sometimes it is so gentle, even "Austin Powers" got inspiration from this lovely British talent! I just love the innocent "sexual" elements, and when he is kinda serious, he can`t really hide his lure smile :) And the models are just great!!

    Norway

  • Benny was a genius and legend. From the 50s to the 90s that humble genius made the whole world laugh. He is know today as a comedian who relied on sexist and lewd jokes and its simply not true. He was a total pioneer in TV. The BBC hold the rights to his early work and should be shamed for not releasing it on DVD to show the world what a total genius this man was. And Thames TV should hang their head in total shame for sacking him in the early 90s. RIP Benny Hill you very funny man and best ever

  • I'm French, and God, i must admit that Benny Hill was sometimes tough with us. But he always play fair. That's why he's maybe one of the greatest english comic, and with some competitors like the Monty Python, it's a hard game !

  • Well, I think history has to do something with that teasing. I am sure it was good intended. Like in Norway and Sweden, we used to be at real war with eachother, a long time ago, and sometimes we tease eachothers nations, but it is harmless. My favuorite humor is the British! :)

    Norway

  • this guy was fenius I grew up watching him.Where do you think Roawn Atkinson got his material from ?? it was from guys like Benny hill !!

  • great, great, great!

  • i have every episode that was made during the 70's, i'm currently searching for the work that was done during the 80's..... does anyone have the episode in which he does roger crook? it's one of the funniest!!!

  • ar15fan....we werent and still arent infesting the 6 counties..they democratically voted to stay british...get your facts right you bog shite

  • Don't waste your time on that idiot. Britain is great. I am Canadian, and proud to be of british blood and background. I have lived over here for a few years now, and even though the u.k has it's problems, the strength of the people and the patriotism I see gives me pride in England, and every country it created or took over in the age of exploration.

  • So funny!!

  • Oh God, I can't breath!! (Did you know Benny was the Toy Maker in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"?)

  • I love Benny, and Hill's Angels. Where are today's silent comics? Harpo died when I was three, Marty Feldman when I was twenty-one. The stand-up comics today don't do silent humor, and it's kind of sad.

  • Mr Bean.

  • You're right, Rowan Atkinson is a comic genius but I still wonder as to why he made ROAD RAGE, or either BEAN movie. Cleese also used to do some physical humor as "Basil Fawlty" and (naturally) in the FLying Circus, but that was also thirty years ago. Jerry Lewis is pushing 80. Where are the silent clowns of today?

  • This show was freakin hilarious.

  • wonderful

  • Man, this is some good stuff. Benny was funny as hell!

  • Lovely and charming, innocent stuff..

  • Like the world would be a much better place if Aryans were in charge. You would be too busy hating and killing each other if no other races were around.

  • It was a time when the U.K. was and still is infesting 6 Irish counties. Up the RA and up yours with a 10 pound charge of Semtex you Anglo Saxon pinhead.

  • "whatever overhangs, your garden belongs to you"

    Hilarious!

BENNY HILL LIVES FOREVER NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!

  • Do you know in what year was this skit shot??

    1976, 1977, 1974????

  • Later than that - 1978. And originally aired on Dec. 26 of that year.

  • Benny, recognized his genius when I was a kid.

    Nicko

  • Love this disco version! Great when he kicked his wife then claimed sleepwalking.

  • brian - do you enjoy Benjamin Hill?

  • Actually Alfred Hawthorn Hill - "Benny" was in honor of Jack Benny.

  • wmbrown - I think you'll find his full name is Benjamin Hill, ken?

  • Obviously haven't read any of his biographies, eh? What's more, on the A&E DVD sets of his shows, the scripts are copyrighted "A.H. Hill Residuals Trust." "A.H." is Alfred Hawthorn.
