MJ didnt just elevate the game of his teammates, he elevated the game of the WHOLE damn league. just think if you were the one that was supposed to guard him that week, that probably did things mentally to his opponents that you would never be able to capture on film, until the moment hes making them look stupid. my point being the day MJ laced them up for the fist time in the NBA, the league started to change. its equivalent to the moment people heard Hendrix.
jordan's muscle memory must have been crazy. so many of his motions throughout these highlights look completely identical. from the positioning of his feet to how he finishes shots. that's long/dedicated hours in the gym, for sure.
The only time I've ever seen an individual player better than Jordan is when they were created on nba 2k or nba live. I've never seen one in real life better individually than he, though.
If you want a sporting equivalent of what Michael Jordan was like as a basketball player, its like the mental strength and athletic ability of Rafael Nadal, combined with the shot making creativity, graceful and efficient movement, and consistency of Roger Federer (the greatest Tennis player of alltime). It still hard to believe some of the things MJ did in the game, and he brought that heat every time he stepped on the court. He was never satisfied. He never lost the hunger, desire & passion.
damn!you did a great job in this man..thanks for taking the tym putting diz Jordan mix ....Jordan clearly has a tactical mind...he dont force things...basketball is not just about da physical strength, your height, speed etc..but most important is you also need to have the "WILL" & u need to be very SMART!!!!datz what separated MJ from everybody..
Man, Jordan could have easily had a record in three points as well. I know he said that he didn't even like taking them because he didn't wanna rely on them. But I honestly think if he enjoyed taking them Ray Allen would still be second place
@yeon723 It's his work ethic that makes him who he is. So yeah, I'm pretty sure if he put his mind to it he could definitely have a 3pt record as well.
@yeon723 It was smart to create the majority of his offence from within the arch. Shooting within that range helped him to keep a high field goal percentage, averaging around 50% from the field for most of his career. That's efficient and intelligent basketball.
@hangtime23ful Nobody has shown better skills - footwork, off-ball move, pull up jumper, pump faske, spin move, fadeaway, post move, and so on- than even Michael Jordan in the 1997-98 season, regarded as the weakiest in his career.
@medestinier And dont forget that he came back as a wizard later on and was still whoomping on the league, Jordan is like the Old Jedi Master and Kobe is like a Wild Young Apprentice
@NobbyKNobbs In any field, whether its sports or music, the greatest exponents of the art form make it look easy, but no one sees the hard work and sacrifice behind the scenes. Like MJ said in that famous Nike commercial, "Maybe its my fault...".
thx for this video. this is so beautifully made!!

also, this vid is proof that he had the fadeaway on lock before the second threepeat, which is a common misconception

Simply the best mid-range shooter and player ever to lace them up! I could watch his fade-away jump shot and graceful game all day long.

The greatest combo slash/mid-range game in history.

Think about how much energy this all takes. And he did moves like these in his prime 4-6 times a game on top of playing lock down D.

@rrTale That's mind boggling. Nobody would control in mid-air and make the jumper. If it wasn't MJ, he would've flailed as if it was a foul.
