overhazard if im training my gliscor in speed i will fight only starlies but if i meet a bidoof the cahin will not break right its only if i defeat it then the chain of increase speed will break

No. As soon as you meet any Pokémon other than the one you're chaining, it'll break. Just seeing it in battle is enough.

You don't. The game chooses for you. You have no choice but to get lots and lots of the same Pokémon and test them out individually.

im trying to EV train my palkia in Special Attack and i know the best place for that would be the old mansion but the gastly's there give you so little EXP...

It doesn't really matter. You can fight opponents that give high EXP later on. You'll need a lot of patience no matter what anyway.

EV-training is always a slow process. Pokémon is a test of patience and perseverence, I suppose.

look at the gameplay in tis video. what do u see. 2 pokemon mindlessly throwing attacks at each other. its like playing catch. they should make it more actiony and make a pokemon game where it comes with peadphones or something and shout commands and tell it to dodge jump run there aim up etc. and make it more lively like the tv show

This is a fundamental part of turn-based games...though we could definitely see the Pokémon dodging an attack if it misses.

yeah the pokemon games are original, but its time to move on. and u should be able to let them out of ur pokeballs so u can journey with them. and u should also be able to have different servers of the sinnoh or whatever and call people names to pressure them into battling them.

Turn-based battling isn't really orignal; its been around ever since at least the table top RPGs of the 1980s. However, Pokémon remains the only major turn-based battling series with a strong multiplayer, and if it loses that, fans of turn-based battling will have nothing left.

While it would be cool to see a real-time rather than turn-based Pokémon game (and Mystery Dungeon got halfway there) it shouldn't replace the current games. There are too many other games like that, and Pokémon stands out as being a popular RPG franchise

Why is everyone going on about a special attacking Infernape? it actually can be better with special attacks if you EV train it at the mansion in D/P.

There is nothing standard that an Infernape SHOULD know. You can find movesets and such on Smogon, but it doesn't necessarily mean they'll work better for you. I purposely make movesets that go against them to encourage independent thinking. Pokémon would get old real fast if every Pokémon had the same movesets.

The three special attacks go well with Nasty Plot, which is how I set it up. This one seems to be going around fine with them. I'm not having any trouble.

use the movesets you like! That i why my empoleon still has steel wing on it. And electivire knows thunder instead of thunderpunch. Sceptile knows leaf blade. which in physical, (I got sceptile from a friend with ruby.) And Blaziken knows flamethrower.

It's very much like Pokémon Stadium, except without the mini-games and you go online. It has no story mode, and you don't catch or snag any Pokémon in PBR.

I don't know. Online random battling is under Lv. 50 All, so I just play by those rules. It really doesn't matter too much.

Yes. EV training for me usually finishes around Levels 25-30.

It's a big story. There are certain Pokemon that give away certain EVs (don't bother yourself with the level;, it's always the same). Decide which stat you want to raise, find the proper Pokemon, destroy it and you get the EVs it gives away. 4 EVs boost a stat by 1 point, but you can only have 255 EVs on a single stat and 510 on a single Pokemon. There are other things you should have in mind about EVs and EV training but I don't have space. If you need more info, just reply and I'll see it.

Hidden Power can be any type except Normal. It's based on the Pokémon's IVs.

IVs are a value randomly given to a Pokémon when you hatch one or find one in the wild. They cover HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed, and theyh go from 0 to 31.

How many are even numbers and how many are odd numbers determine Hidden Power's type.

The Life Orb it's holding causes Infernape to take 10% of its total HP off each time it does damage.

I EV-trained Phione, which is how it can hit so hard. I forget if I used vitamins as part of EV-training, but it certainly helps.

As for Infernape, it has Focus Blast and not Close Combat because this is a special Infernape, as opposed to a physical one. It runs off of Special Attack rather than regular Attack.

Chimchar learns it at level 23, which you have to hold off evolving it for 9 levels.

Does your Infernape have HP Rock or Ice? And you understand, this can't be called a victory. Look at the Pokéballs of your foe, there not the normal ones. If they were, then they would be bred.

Neither. It has Hidden Power Dragon. If it was Ice, it would have knocked out Salamence in one hit.

By the core concepts, this actually is a victory; I knocked out all of his Pokémon before all of mine would get knocked out. Whether it was a FULFILLING victory is on a person-by-person basis. I take on anybody I get paired up with, then record it and put it here, regardless of if their skill level is lesser or greater than mine.
