  • I play string bass:-D

  • We had our first competition of the year and when we were done and watching other schools, one school played this and every time a part like at 1:50 came up, we all clapped...then my director yelled at all of us :(

    Love this songg

  • *Minuano six eight

  • we played this and minano. my most favorite Latin jazz songs

  • Good lord, played this freshmen year and it's been stuck in my head everyday since.

Flugle horn solo was great. Go smexy trumpets!

I hate the run toward the end that trumpets has to do. It's so hard.

  • It'd be cool if the guitar would play the same style as the rest of the band...

  • @Rocketman157

    They never do...

  • @Rocketman157

But of course. I'm a bassist (unrelated).

  • this was a great version until the guitar took a solo...

  • @bassplayer247

    And after the solo, too.

  • AAHHH. trombones wont do the turn

  • amazing stuff and woo LTHS Jazz Band!!!

  • Omg this is so fast. We're playing this at LTHS jazz band. Tenor love:D <3

  • @lmr94 hey lauren

  • @rocker4lif93 umm hi?

  • I love this song My high schoool's jazz band played this 2 years ago.

  • That's not a real bass. They need a real, authentic upright bass (the 6 foot tall violin-ish thing) like I play.

  • @chargerfighter1

Just because it's a bass guitar doesn't make it "Not a real bass." I agree, both bass guitar and double bass have their place in jazz music, but both deserve equal respect because they are capable of different styles.

  • @videogamer1805

I know, I play bass, therefore I have to play both, even though I much prefer my upright. I love Spain. I had to play it on electric in my school's jazz band, I can play parts along with this video from memory it's so burned into my head.

  • Pfft. One of our trumpets in 11th grade could pwn whoever is playing it here.

  • My high school band is playing this, FAHS in NC.

  • I feel bad for the trumpet soloist having to precede such an amazing guitar solo.

  • the drummer knows what he's doing, whoever it is.

  • @ACORSON13 Agreed

  • its so weird hearing this played at a band concert cuz my high school played it in our marching show this year and im so much more used to no piano and stuff

  • Oh my god. You guys sound great. SHS played this song for their jazz band, and it was one of my favorites. You go go go. Especially Barry Sax player.

    props!

  • *sigh* i wish i could move to nederland lol (looks at name <.<) i regret making that my account name
