Marine's don't call it "basic training" that's an army thing the Marine's call it Boot Camp or Recruit Training because Parris Island and San Diego are everything but basic

Who gives a damn.. Marine boot camp is designed to create robotic soldiers that go in with no fear and get shot. The army creates humane and well equiped soldiers that can hold on for the long haul. I love when people say marine bct must be harder because it's longer than the armies. guess what, I'm combat arms in the army and my training is a hell of a lot longer than a marine grunts training. scouts out bitch recon hooah!!

No it creates soldiers who follow orders and don't complain about the harsh treatments and learn to make due with what they're given instead of being given the most expensive equipment and relying on it so much to not know what to do when it becomes useless....just because you say your training is longer doesn't mean it's tougher. Marine Core training is longer BECAUSE it IS tougher NOT tougher because it's longer.

Sorry but no. The marines are the ones who use army training schools. For example, if you've got a marine who is a tanker, he's going to Ft Knox to be trained by the Army.

i was talkin about boot camp...but if you wanna talk about that type of training than you don't remember that that's not the only place marines train but it is the main training for the army. The marines that go there just go there to use the facilities so it still doesn't mean anything because they're still trained by Marines...but as for the Army they're off and on trained by soldiers and marines.

Also and don't forget about the Marine commanders who wanted their "jarheads" out of Iraq because their troops aren't designed for occupation. Can't take the heat? Also don't forget about all the marines complaining about their humvees breaking down daily in afghanistan, and having to bring ****ing mraps or whatever big truck it is on patrol with them. The enemy simply outruns them because their equipment is so shitty.
