Proportinal Representation has its own flaws. It always leads to coalition Governments, and few of the parties can agree on anything at all. You get bad ideas pushed through by way of compromise and good ideas shelved. If you think the Liberals will make much of a diffrence you are sorely mistaken. I am not convinced. PR often makes it easier for extremists, party list systems break the link between people and their MPs. Unpopular Governments can reinstall themselves by finding new coalition partners. Also PR means Voters have to Know more about each party, with voter apathy that is nearly impossible, plus people will simply not vote because they don't want to sift through that kind of info.

PLus people actually have to know more about the parties voter apathy prevents that. Plus I would not ote for the liberals, they are over the top in their support for Europe. You are missing a trick, the guy has advanced motivation beyond Cambridge graduates in computer studies. We NEED people like this here in U.K to be brought in mainstream for a salary. What type of people do you think started up Microsoft ?

The only mistake we seem to make is that after inventing brilliant ideas (after all we did invent the computer and world wide web) , we don't employ third world factories to make cheap throw away goods so that everybody can buy them.
