  • cool

  • Way beyond anybody. Had Hendrix lived he might have attained this level of mastery though.

  • Way beyond Hendrix dude!

  • @examinfo fuck jimi hendrix man he was so like 60 years ago who gives a fuck in my opinion

    stanley jordan kicks ass

    420

  • Someone pinch me.

  • is there a problem with the sound at the concert

  • No my camera had a problem. :(

A dvd was released of this show.

Stanley Jordan Trio - Live At The New Morning and the sound is perfect !

  • thanks will order DVD

  • The mic was overdriven. Too loud for it to handle. I'm just astounded watching Stanley play lead and rhythm on two completely different instruments at the same time. I've seen him do it on two guitars and on one guitar, but the mindset managing a piano and an ax playing jazz in concert baffles me. He's a brilliant man. Maybe we should ask him to try a couple of drumsticks in his toes.

  • this is a complete synthesis of the creative and logical postions of the brain combined with perfect command of the fingers and body.

  • freakin genious.. btw I believe he's the new

    Hendrix :)

  • what? completely different styles and tones and techniques and music. they are both black tho you got that right.

  • I met him AND Charnett Moffett this past saturday at a small jazz club in NYC....INCREDIBLE show. They played this song too. Gonna be on Stanley's new album coming out this spring.

  • the guy is absolutely amazing

  • oh my God.. when will this guy stop surprising me..

  • Oh my god... He's a great pianist too ! 8o

    Life's unfair ! hahaha !

  • Er... he was first a PIANIST, then he took guitar. He adapted the piano technique to the guitar, creating his particular way of double-hand tapping.

  • Stanley Jordan could as well be a proffesional jazz pianist and the double bass player is a virtuoso for shure.

  • So Stanley is still playing with Charnett Moffett ; the combination of the two monstrous players is invincible.

These truly great musicians seem to have given up on the English-speaking world which has become obsessed with cheap pop music and celeb fad, and to be quite active in France, Spain and Brazil.

  • And I was thinking Stanley was musically dead... even his website is so outdated!

  • It was recently updated. check it out.

  • Hey, thanks! Too bad he's not touring South America :(

  • Is That 'Song For My Father'?

  • awesome

  • i was also at this concert and will be sure to upload my videos as soon as possible. any word on when the dvd they were making that night will be coming out?

  • incredible!! watch out the guy with glasses, he looks shocked..
