It's kind of weird how, since this cookie was discontinued like 20-something years ago, everyone posts here like "aw mane this is the greatest thing ever why did it have to be gone oh god why"
But they invented it just now and ran a commercial people would be like "this is disgusting this should be banned this is why everyone is fat I hope everyone from Nabisco dies you fat american scum"
I knew Jean Knight's "Mr. Big Stuff" (from 1971) existed in 1983 or 1984, but hardly knew it at all until this ad came along. Not only became one of my fave oldies of 1987, but it's been firmly entrenched in my all time top 500 ever since.
This goofy song pops into my head every now and then for no apparent reason. LOL I also always remember a Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial song "Hit the Road Jack" from the 80's... The 80's were the best! If we could go back to that decade the world would be a better placale!! If Nabisco still sold these they would probably be sued for selling something with so manycalories and so much saturated fat.
I use to love these as a kid. I was 5 or 6 when they came out. It was always so exciting opening your lunch box to see what treat you were going to get that day.
This is one of the commercials I remember as a kid, mainly the song. I can't really remember the kids dancing around, but every time I happen to hear "mr. big stuff" I think of the oreo song. One of my fondest memories of the 80's was going to Toys "R" Us and getting some special box full of candy samples and coupons. An Oreo Big Stuff was included, and I remember thinking it was pretty good. '87 was a great year.
Man I really miss these classics...Used to be 10 years old back then. I am now 34 years old and they don't even come close to what they used to make back then. This is a true classic thanks for uploading it. Brings back countless memories.
OMG!! I cannot believe i found this! i actually remember this in '87 when i was 5. i havent seen it since then. i thought i was the only one who remembers this. i wish i could ring back the 80's. its so crazy cuz im sitting here eating a bag of oreos right now. lol. some things never change.
AHH!! I was looking for this!! I remember eating that when I was a child! They were so big!! I use to eat the top cookie first then enjoy the frosting!!
This commercial was shot late 1985 or early 1986. It was a 3 day shoot and alot of fun. They were looking for someone young to play Mr. Big Stuff. I auditioned and they thought I was 18 years old and I booked the commercial. If the executives found out I was 27 years old, (They were on the set the day we shot the commercial) they would have fired me. Anyway....what a great job that was.
OMG I cant believe someone has this commerical and saved it all these years....The Oreo Big Stuff was the greatest cookie every invented....I remember back when i was a kid having these at lunch at school and every kid was so jealus of you for having it....Someone should start a movement to have them brought back into production...I would eat one every day if they were still around
I remember I couldnt wait until I got my weekend allowance to be able to buy Oreo Big Stuff, my parents didn't keep sweets in the house but this was one thing I could buy on my own with what little money I had, and I would usually eat a little each day. I wish they would make these again!! Of course they would probably be $5 today!!! What SWEET memories :)
if i had 1 dollar for every pixel in this video, id be in dept

Wow, imagine how much those cost back then? Probably like 50 cents. But now if they came back, they would probably cost like 2 dollars, or more.

I love Oreo Big Stuff, but I don't think I could eat
just one a day. Maybe two, more than likely three.

I was only a year old when this commercial came out. I don't think they sold these in the 90's. If they did I was oblivious to it.

If kids today moved and danced like in the '80s, they'd be able to eat Oreos and STAY thin!
scottbaino 3 years ago 12
those look really good, the kids make eating oreos seem a lot more fun than it actually is LOL :)

I remember those and the jingle. They were good
cookies.

why don't they sell those today! those look soooo nummy!
