I'm sorry but I find all the actors in this pretty unconvincing. A movie like this should have me bawling, but the acting was so crap I almost laughed at the revelation of him seeing her brains. Which is bad because it doesn't do the tragic story justice. I guess if you've spent a while in the mental health system you know how people really act when they're traumatised...and this doesn't really cut it.
soo.. I'm still sitting here waiting for the point of this movie to pop out.. lol I'm waiting for a missing piece to the puzzle, but my loss of interest is emerging haha..
I'm not surprised it took such a long time for Kevin to tell his story. She never asked questions when he started to tell something, but instead always started to talk about something else. She could have asked him this a long time ago.
Actually, you would be surprised at how many abuse victims do recount their abuse story that way. There are powerful emotions connected with memories from the past, and a clinical way of retelling it is often a coping mechanism. It's easier just to recount the facts than deal with the emotions they cause.
@starbirdblue not every single social worker let dis happen im studyinto be a social worker n im gonna mek sure dat dis doesnt happen to none of deh kids i have fi tek care of
That's valiant, but social workers don't let kids fall through the cracks on purpose. Social workers often have their hands tied by legislation and have more cases than they can handle. If you haven't already, you'll hear about something called burn-out. Social workers experience that at a faster rate than pretty much any other profession. Being focused on saving every child is going to wear out out fast. There are some kids the law won't let you save. It's sad but true.

No, he needed to get used to her being around first. She needed to gain his trust.
