TONY MARRY ME! What would the american song book sound like without you? How do you keep on going and giving. Soon we will be together again, me in the front row loving you all over again. Hurry up and get here October.
Zapping, I found this concert on tv. I was amazed by the freshness of this (then) 74 y/o, immensely charming singer, a powerful voice and fascinating performance. I was really enthusiastic and had a lot more to discover about this living legend, which I did! The start of a beautiful decade for me! Tony Bennett makes life more beautiful!
oops. That is Paul Langosch on the bass here. Not Doug Richeson. Judging from the normal responses I get from my comments I guess I'm expected to commit suicide over that faux pas. But I aint gonna!
Oh man.. That Ralph Sharon. Such a lovely man. Douglas Richeson on bass--Beautiful. Clayton Cameron with his brushes creating masterpieces.--This is the archetypal Tony Bennett band. It does not get any better than this. The guitar player was incidental and completely unneccessary clutter.
Tony Bennett the best crooner!!!!

I saw him last night in Richmond, Virginia and he was just as astounding. He is a living legend. I feel fortunate to have seen him live.
