@gokilforce09 Sometimes, whenever a game is localized, the original name is already copyrighted, so they have to change the name to prevent legal sanctions. You should look up the localization process to understand it a bit more.

Biohazard had to change it's name because of an American rock group that already owned the rights to the name 'Biohazard'

Rockman was changed similarly because of a videogame already called 'Rock Man' already existed on an older console. That and Capcom of Japan didn't have much control over the overseas releases of the game, unlike now.

X7 was a disappointingly rough transition. Being a die-hard fanatic I still loved it and made excuses for Capcom. I couldn't be happier with the improvements in X8. Alia is the sexiest woman in the world since X5.

The Xbox audience at the time wouldn't have been really excited over this, since releasing anything that isn't an FPS to them was like gambling with very weak odds. Plus, taking to count how popular the Xbox was and still mostly is in Japan, it only makes sense that it wasn't released for it.

Okay. I did a bit of research. I didn't have to do much before I found some info that points out some things that don't line up with the original game's story line as well as that the the game that the OVA you mentioned is from (Mega Man Maverick Hunter X (PSP) was directed by someone other than Inafune.

I then watched the OVA and as much as I liked it, I have to be honest that there really are a lot of things that don't line up with the original X series, therefor it would have to be alternate.

@Psycausis Sorry, but you talk as if Megaman and Megaman X are one in the same. Just to clarify things, Megaman and X are two completely different robots. X was built from scratch and has his own personality apart from the original Megaman. Also, Megaman's mentality is based off of a 10 year old boy, while X's mentality was initially based off of a 14-15 year old WITH the ability the mature (not to mention X's defining ability to think and feel for himself, aka free will). I'll take a look at it then, do some research and compare the time lines of the animation with the release dates of the original games just to make sure that this is accurate and not conflicting like is common with the DBZ series/ova releases.

If my research turns up any irregularities in the game's stories and these ova releases, I'll let you know.

I think megaman x.4 plot was the best, then, they screw ythe hole thing up. Iris shared story with zero was the best iver seen in a megaman game. Then, its the same thing over and over. But, i totallly love this opening.

I probably have every Megaman game in existence,I gotta say x8 was a great game but the story line got messed up after x5.They should have ended the series there with that ending x6 and x8 were great.X7 and Command Mission was just a total fail.X6 and the others shouldn't have been in the timeline in an alternate timeline x6-Command Mission they should have been seperate or some lost episodes.

I was always amazed by each games of this serie, each would reveal how deep the world behind this game is. the meaning/choice of names for every characters and everything. the evolution from rockman to rockman X was awesome. X to Megamanzero was fair. but advent is total fail, power rangers in capcom format. Hope when they go for X9, they fix that fail to make a decent sequel to the universe of rockman.

When you actually know what the lyrics mean, this song sounds a lot like Sigma or someone trying to convince a reploid to go maverick...
