Velvetsnape--We know what you mean. A lot of young dancers are hard on themselves. Irish dancing is just as competitive as any other sport. It's a lot like gymnastics in that you want to succeed individually, and also for and with your team!
That was great! Don't be so hard on yourself! Irish Dance is not an easy form of dance. I know just how you feel. I am very competitive with myself, too. I am ashamed to say that I quit for that reason. I felt I wasn't progressing as much as I wanted and, looking back, expected too much of myself for the skill level I was at. I'm dying to get back, though! I still have my shoes and always will :)
hahaha I had to take like 6 months off because of stupid tendonitis!! But my leg is better and am heading back maybe 2 weeks. Watch your knees and try not to drag your feet so much......in other words get higher on you toes. try not to bend your body so much. Good dancing though
ok you guys, seriously?? this girl realizes she's not good and she said that she hasn't practiced in 1.5 years. of course it's not going to be perfect. honestly...
that wasnt to bad, i think mabey ur steps are a little advanced for you,no offence beacause that was brilliant for 1.5 year, i think u need to just pull ur muscles more n go higher on your toes :)
looks good, just watch your knees, they're a bit bent, and you could be a little higher on your toes. Your turn out and crossing look good though. You look as if you're rushing to keep up with the music, but I'm guessing that's just because it's a long time since you did the steps. good luck at your new dance school.
point them toes!

This isn't bad, especially since you took such a long time off from dancing. You're very energetic in your dancing.
