And yes, this is a good way to do it if your not a douche and trying to spend hundreds on a f*ing rc car. grow up and throw some money in a real ride and keep this to a hobby like the rest of us.
@Tupples1 On a RC? You dont own one do you.... A RC will roll over on good rubber tires becouse of the traction. You need hard wheels for drifting a rc car.
@meamjustme yeah i do own one i have a moded out old ass hpi rs4, with a with a 500$ Novarossi 35 Plus 21 LC ‘Cordoba Edition’in it so dont talk to me about cars bro.yes u can drift on real tires u just have to know how to and set your car up to do it.i use mid bold x pattern tires and i drift on black top.
@Tupples1 Then you should know better and dont be a troll. Still i higly doubt you own such stuff. And dont talk me about setups couse is do know what i am doing.
What i did to make my own was, first i went to Lowe's and actually found 2" piping from the inner diameter...and then i used my Dremel and stand to route the edges and the tire looks pretty legit and i also used a Saw to cut them into rim sized pieces...made like 10-15 sets of tires for myself...pretty cool stuff!
i made my tires out of pvc today but my car runs way to slow i cannt eve drift i guess is because the pvc is to slippery has anybody had that problem when you use pvc tires?
we do this aswell for indoor carpet drifting..we cut them to size though not leave them all wide like that...we also bevel the edges the burrs leave a lip which makes the rim a tighter fit with electrical tape of corse.
why you so mad, he didnt force you to make them. you can always put elec. tape around the plastic to give them a bit more grip, or coat with something else.
im not getting defensive just wondering why you were so mad, you can also cut slots in the plastic to allow for more traction, but they will still prolly suck. lol elec. tape on reg rubber tires works to but again nothing beats the real deal.
i am going to make a bunch of r/c how to videos in the next few days watch for them they will be great
hi hey good vid. but can you please please tell me how to remove the tire from the rim. can you make a vid showing how to remove the tire from the rim please. thx
You wrap the tape around the wheel until it fits snugly into the pvc... im going to post a video soon on how to do this... my way it better, fast, easier, cheaper, and it looks a lot better too
@hotlink017224 it is to fill in the area inbetween the rib and pipe because otherwise it would have only 2 circles to conect to and that would make it less stable...
Sure it looks unrealistic, but I guess it's the best thing to do to save some money. Hot glue is actually pretty easy to get off too. You just need a screwdriver do dig under and basically just pull it off.
Well what I thought of for the PVC tire thing was that it's suppose to be when they wear down, it's suppose to be easy to remove so you can add on another piece of PVC. I dunno, I'm just gonna get drift tires anyways because I'm not drifting on cement :D.
The tape is wrapped around the rim in order to get the PVC to fit on nice and tight so it doesn't fly off. He uses a glue gun here, but if you tape it up correctly so that it fights tight enough you won't need to glue them at all. And yes the rims are re-usable, you just need to make a new set of tires and switch them.
this is for rc drift MORONS electrical tape s used to see if the pvc exactly fits in the pvc pipe if not wrap it around the rim with electrical tape so tat the pvc can fit and tight nt loose
im selling some proffesional drift tires for anyone whose interested, $10 for a set of 4 plus actual shipping, practice version, nothing fancy but good to learn on, let me know, message me please. Thanks.
