  • And yes, this is a good way to do it if your not a douche and trying to spend hundreds on a f*ing rc car. grow up and throw some money in a real ride and keep this to a hobby like the rest of us.

  • y do u need tape??

  • Is not necessary have this to drift. Sorry for my english. Yo solo decia.

  • Wat size tube is it

  • Should have used thin CA glue

  • they are fuckin made in china... BAD! =)

  • dude you got the same rims as mine!

  • real rc drifters dont do this bullshit they use real tires not that plastic hard shit.

  • @Tupples1 On a RC? You dont own one do you.... A RC will roll over on good rubber tires becouse of the traction. You need hard wheels for drifting a rc car.

  • @meamjustme yeah i do own one i have a moded out old ass hpi rs4, with a with a 500$ Novarossi 35 Plus 21 LC ‘Cordoba Edition’in it so dont talk to me about cars bro.yes u can drift on real tires u just have to know how to and set your car up to do it.i use mid bold x pattern tires and i drift on black top.

  • @Tupples1 Then you should know better and dont be a troll. Still i higly doubt you own such stuff. And dont talk me about setups couse is do know what i am doing.

  • @meamjustme a dude think what u want its just a car nice motor in a old as car.better yet go to my page and see what i really drive.=)

  • deffinatley doin this with my erevo!!!

  • What's the tape for?

  • ur mom washin the dishes

  • work with any rc as long has you use same stuff?

  • awwwww mommmmmmmmy in the background how cute

  • i bot some pvcs and my rc barley moves

  • i use bald tires and they work great

  • but doesent it depend the size of the wheels like 26 or 31??

  • what size should teh pvs pipe be?

  • lol ya im gonna proably do the same thing as you i cant really afford for new tires XDbest and cheap way

    XD

  • What i did to make my own was, first i went to Lowe's and actually found 2" piping from the inner diameter...and then i used my Dremel and stand to route the edges and the tire looks pretty legit and i also used a Saw to cut them into rim sized pieces...made like 10-15 sets of tires for myself...pretty cool stuff!

  • you could of heated up the pvc put it on then droped it in cold water

  • can i do this on my 1/16 rc car???

  • PVC pipe :p, I found guttering works kinda, u gotta have large rims for that tho

  • wats the white tire thing called

  • joder que chapuzas valen 20 euros las llantas con neumaticos drift

  • i made my tires out of pvc today but my car runs way to slow i cannt eve drift i guess is because the pvc is to slippery has anybody had that problem when you use pvc tires?

  • @supersanchez1991 i think what you should do is make little grooves in the pvc so it gets more traction

  • what was the point of the electrical tape

  • we do this aswell for indoor carpet drifting..we cut them to size though not leave them all wide like that...we also bevel the edges the burrs leave a lip which makes the rim a tighter fit with electrical tape of corse.

  • why you so mad, he didnt force you to make them. you can always put elec. tape around the plastic to give them a bit more grip, or coat with something else.

  • Comment removed

  • im not getting defensive just wondering why you were so mad, you can also cut slots in the plastic to allow for more traction, but they will still prolly suck. lol elec. tape on reg rubber tires works to but again nothing beats the real deal.

i am going to make a bunch of r/c how to videos in the next few days watch for them they will be great

  • yo dude you dont have to waste money la you can just use a tape

  • this white plastic what excactly is???

  • ABS or PVC pipe....?

  • wow can you read

  • pvc drift tires suck!!!

  • i need money man!!!

  • u can get pipes from any builders or home renovation store canadian tire home hardware and rona

  • Buy PVC pipe at Best Buy, or a, do it self store..

  • is it easy to find the right size of pvc?and uhm... WHERE to get them?

  • where can i get the pipe from

  • man i wanna make drift tyres with PVC too but I couldnt find the right size...

  • this is a waste of material. you could just cover the original tyre with plastic tape

  • Ya but it will be more fun to do it.

    Duh.

  • does your car need to be 4wd for this to work?

  • yes

  • lol, hotglue, that wont hold for long

  • thanks that helped me learn how to drift :)

  • why so cheap ?? why dont u get drift tires instead. This is so ghetto. A set of drift tires are much more appreciate.

  • Comment removed

  • @Skater85382 u can actually just put electrical tape alone on most onroad tires and they'll drift

  • what do you need the elc. tape for lol

  • usual u put it inside the rim so that it sticks unless u use hot glue gun

  • But you need to buy new rims if you want to make them drift tires.

  • isnt it hard to put the rims out of the pvc if u glue them to the pvc???

  • great idea

  • may i know whats the dimension of the rims? cos i have difficulty finding the rght size for the pvc piping..

  • just bring the rim to homedepot and pop it into the tubes:D

  • could you just use plastic cement instead of hot glue? hot glue seems kinda weak..doesnt it ?

  • i wanna ask, my battery packet kinda tore after i took it one round . is this bcuz of the extreme heat or what . there is no harm in this rite

  • no a 4wd can drift as well

  • get a better motor and drift with rubber tires, with plastic you get less traction but can go sideways longer

  • 0:36 isn't it finished then? it fits doesn't it?

  • o i c ty

  • this suckes hard penis this wont let u get traction to get going .... all i would do is spin

  • You have a rear wheel drive, right? You need AWD to drift

  • of course lol......

  • LOL! FAIL i have a RWD NIKKO S15. it drifts just as well.

  • ummm tape? for what??

  • You wrap the tape around the wheel until it fits snugly into the pvc... im going to post a video soon on how to do this... my way it better, fast, easier, cheaper, and it looks a lot better too

  • dude cant u use normal on roaad rc tyres?

  • he's trying to drift, crappy for racing, but good for drifting lol

  • what's the tape for?

  • @hotlink017224 sliding cause normal doesnt slide i think

  • @hotlink017224 to look it look black

so it looks like black tires ;D

  • @hotlink017224 it is to fill in the area inbetween the rib and pipe because otherwise it would have only 2 circles to conect to and that would make it less stable...

  • @hotlink017224 to make it more slick i guess?

  • @hotlink017224 its for fun i think :D

  • @warofsamurai lol, okay xD

  • wat is the tape for??

  • i dont get this isnt that plastic? im confused plastic is a good substitute for rubbeR???? AHh how dose this work out

  • Its to make tires so the car can drift much easier. Bad for racing, good for low friction slower drifting.

  • the paint will come off....

  • 4 stars, very cool (y)

  • drift tires only run like 8-10 bucks a pair..oh well to each his own.

  • thats the shit way

  • Yeah, but they actually work and they are way cheaper than buying drift tires.

  • true

  • it looks unrealistic, white tyres lmao... plus that glue is messy shit when it gets on the rims

  • Sure it looks unrealistic, but I guess it's the best thing to do to save some money. Hot glue is actually pretty easy to get off too. You just need a screwdriver do dig under and basically just pull it off.

  • paint them black if you want to look them realistic

  • or get black pipe.....

  • yeah cos the black paint will just get scraped off lol...

  • he couldve put superglue on the taped part, it looks way cleaner.

  • Well what I thought of for the PVC tire thing was that it's suppose to be when they wear down, it's suppose to be easy to remove so you can add on another piece of PVC. I dunno, I'm just gonna get drift tires anyways because I'm not drifting on cement :D.

  • iff your gonna save your rims and crap, it will look messy with the hotglue peeled off anyway.

i just throw away the worn down ones.

  • Thanks so much! I got my RC drift car today and this will come in handy!

  • what's the electric tape 4

  • im gonna try dat....

i had slicks on my car but drifted it do much dat 1 of dem ripped off! lol

ill see if dis works instead of payin for new ones!

if it works ill put up a video! lol

  • just go to hobbies and buy some

  • god fucking darned i just bought some wheels already with the tires on them and u can make them yourself omfg!!!!!!!!

  • just put tape on you tires. They slice like crazy.

  • I Do This

    When My Cash Is Short

    Buying Is Better

    Because The Pvc Pipe

    Is Too Big

You Can Turn With Your Body On

  • Grind the pvc thinner before you put it on.

  • whats the tape for?

  • if your rim is to small, you put some tape around it to make it fit in

  • its better buy the tires for drift.

  • do u put the pipes on all four wheels?

  • yeah

  • That was a very detailed procedure.

    Easy as 1 2 3...

  • where do you get the electrical tape at?

  • After the pvc fail... is it replace new wheels?

  • um im not totally sure but i think you can probably slip on the wheel and use new pvc. and only glue one side

  • when the pvc whares out you put a new peace on.. simple.

  • whats the tape 4 then

  • get the rims???????where

  • like at a hobby shop

  • whats the tape 4? and can i re use my rims?

  • its around the rims i think

  • The tape is wrapped around the rim in order to get the PVC to fit on nice and tight so it doesn't fly off. He uses a glue gun here, but if you tape it up correctly so that it fights tight enough you won't need to glue them at all. And yes the rims are re-usable, you just need to make a new set of tires and switch them.

  • what do i do if i dont have a pair of extra rims and i dont want to destroy my original wheels?

  • this is really cool man thanks

  • this is for rc drift MORONS electrical tape s used to see if the pvc exactly fits in the pvc pipe if not wrap it around the rim with electrical tape so tat the pvc can fit and tight nt loose

  • what website has pvc/abs drift tires

  • none there only homemade, PVC i think is used fro plumbing and electrical work.

  • where you can get the pipes ? :S

  • lol if you live in the states or canada homedepot 2" PVC pipes

  • look at a wardware store.

  • im selling some proffesional drift tires for anyone whose interested, $10 for a set of 4 plus actual shipping, practice version, nothing fancy but good to learn on, let me know, message me please. Thanks.

  • is that a normal pvc pipe??

  • yes but they are black...check my video "RC DRIFTER" on my profile to see what they look at

  • hey i'l buy a pair ( respond as soon as possible if you want to sell a pair! do you ship to ontario canada? and how much would it be if u did?

  • $10 for a set of 4, tires and rims, shipping is $7 priority. Thanks, best way to contact is through msg.

  • oh you can buy some off me but mine r black coloured jus fly ova to australia and pick em up

  • yeer dont wast your time hes lying i flog him with my himoto syclone pro off road buggy 2 speed agaist some crappy ripkica ford.

    hahahaha

  • very satisfactory...just that how did u cut the pvc so smooth and evenly. pls. reply

  • you cut the pvc pipe with a chop saw.Its a electric saw that cuts wood ,but it can cut pvc with no problem

  • why do you even need the electical tape... very poorly executed video. anyone who can't figure this out on their own should probably not be allowed to touch buttons, much less drift rc cars.

  • put the PVC on the back 2 wheels or the front 2??.. pls reply. thks

  • All 4 of them

  • does these drift tires work with 4wd nitro cars? not the drifting ones

  • are these for Nitro RC or just electric?

  • i just said that without seeing ur comment!! :O.. lol? i reckon they would be way 2 slippery

  • that was LAME!
