And the background, does sky always look like the painted wall in old movies? I cannot detect any kind of movement in the sky, which is weird, if it were real shot of sky.

Well a lot of cameras certainly, but shot in real open background look closely and you will detect it is not painted, it very difficult because painter are THAT good but this and the Dance of The Cossaks were both shot in real open.
