Maybe it was because I tried playing WW (for the first time) back to back with Skyward sword, but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to finish it. I decided to stop playing it yesterday. Am I a horrible person? I really did enjoy it, but I quit simply because I didn't want to grow to hate it from the tedious sailing.
No, you're not a horrible person. Some find the sailing enjoyable, some find it tedious. If you can stick it out, there's some really great end game stuff (once you get past the absurd Triforce fetch quest).
TWWs sailing wasn't that bad in my opinion. Only the last quest of translating hidden charts to find hidden triforces was really tedious. On your way on the boat there was always something on the way to play with like collecting rupees.
@andreweisen I mean, you have a silky smooth voice of awesomeness, I don't mean that in a homosexual way at all, but talk all you want. It's just your humorous videos that I'm fond of. I can't get enough of your genius sense of humor. Just the mix of sarcasm, cleverness, and someone who is actually knowledgeable in GOOD video games is perfect. I grew up with Nintendo consoles so people like you are especially entertaining.
If you play your cards right you travel the sea quick as what.
It is fun video though, but I hate the stigma people have about Wind Waker that is WAY too blown out of league - I know, I am playing wind waker (again) currently.
Anyway, Saling is not much, you get quick travel spell and time between two places takes about 1-4 mins depending on your situation.
Anyway, it was funny video but I do want to kill all the negativity in one of fantastic zelda titles that does not deserve it all. ;_;

I hope that Mr Miyamoto does tha same what he did with Twilight princess, Ocarina of Time and Link to the past because they are just a variation of the first one. It can be long but not tedious and boring like this Wind Waker S*&%T.
30 hours is plenty long enough if its 30 hours of engaging zelda-perfected gameplay.
Zelda shouldn't be trying to compete with RPGs and their excess of backtracking, fetch quests and grinding etc which make the game longer but much less fun
The sailing in WW is like the Water Temple in OoT. It's over exaggerated like CRAZY. It isn't that bad, and I don't see why people whine about it that much.
i think that they mean in collectibles, sidequests, uprade system with a ton of new upgrades, and optional places to go and see. If not, god help us all.....
@Neocasko It's supposed to be the deepest and longest Zelda game to date and Zelda games aren't known for being short. I played the 3DS remake for over 50 hours and that's without finding all the secrets, this game is supposed to double that, and the bird looks much better than the boat. Well at least to me :P
@jimmyelgringito Don't get the wrong idea. I like a game with a lot of playing time. It's only the fact that I am worried that it may be artificially lengthened in a bad way. I think that's what Andrew is worried about.
I'm pretty sure at that point in the game, giving that wand of yours a little shake and a cyclone trip later would've made your life much easier ^-^ (I know that wasn't the point, but still lol)
I want to assume they learned their lesson the first time. I consider the triforce piece hunt at the end of WW artificial extension of time. If they do that again, I'm not supporting this game, though god knows I want to.
