So not to be a smart ass, but yeah the Comfort Access System is really nothing new true. The Nissan Altima and Maxima come standard with a similar system yes, even the Toyota Camry. Just needed to say though, in your effort to be a smart ass, you actually gave the wrong info. The SmartKey system is only available on the Camry XLE and Hybrid models. It's ok, I want a M6 myself.

@MiekoSkyy I love my 335i, but I think it's kinda BS that I had to pay $500 more for comfort access. Ahh well, I guess it's on par with the ala carte way of offering options on German cars.

Oh and the extra $500 for alarm was BS as well.

Various other manufactures offer keyless entry for free... $1,000 is a bit overpriced but that's what BMW's are :D %60 percent leased. Badge whores who don't actually own. I love the 650i and M6 though !

It can only start if the key is inside the car, but once started, you could chuck the key out the window and it would keep running - fires off warning messages on the computer though.
